No one seems to have mentioned this, so I thought I would toss it out there. In Leo's Letter to Phillip, there is some bold print -- in fact, it appears that the date of each article has been made bold.
Perhaps this helps?

1) The years in the citations are bolded. Why?
Imo, its standard referencing (of which there are two versions, depending on what journal you're looking at). From what I learned in my oh so fabulous dork classes, you either go Nature style, with Bold year dates (such as:
Quote:
Production of Phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-Trisphosphate and Phosphatidic Acid in Platelet Rafts: Evidence for a Critical Role of Cholesterol-Enriched Domains in Human Platelet Activation
Stéphane Bodin, Sylvie Giuriato, Jeannie Ragab, Bruno M. Humbel, Cécile Viala, Claude Vieu, Hugues Chap, and Bernard Payrastre
Biochemistry; 2001 ; 40(50) pp 15290 - 15299
or by putting the year in parentheses, esp when leaving out the article title, e.g.:
Quote:
Xu, Z.S., Liu, W.S., and Willard, M.B. (1992) J. Biol. Chem. 267 , 3901-3906
Now that I've gone all MLA on you, I'll end by saying: I don't think the bold is all that big a deal. But I could be wrong. I am from time to time

No trout there, we simulposted so it doesn't really qualify
I've not seen citation years listed in bold before but if it's an accepted style I just haven't run across before it might not be a kloo. Just seemed odd they'd go to the trouble of adding bold tags to the year instead of just using the regular font style.
And here I sit with access to a ton of journals...lemme see if I can track down the ones nobody's having luck with.
Edit: Looks like they're pretty well either obvious or covered. Never mind.

JTS first published in 1988--it's one of the publications my parent company owns. The article is for real...it just doesn't go that far back on line. Very few journals have on-line access prior to about 1996 so far.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the sample track from Wongmo's new album, Release the Dolphin Within . It's a new age ditty much along the same lines as his previous album . Oh, and it has some stuff in it too...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Along with the new age-y stuff there's some odd sounding piano notes, that come in 6 "clusters":
FBCEBCCGFG
FECCBDFB
FFDFDGA
EDDDFFECF
FDCFECCECCEA
DBGECAFDBAGFEDCAFDBGEDAFDB (the long descending string of notes at the end)
I didn't have an instrument next to me so I could be wrong about some of them. Also, I didn't take octaves into account, just the notes...maybe they need to be translated into frequencies or something.

No good at these things. Find me another mundane, repetitive task.

That's what I get for not reading the 17 page thread.

I find this one:
MEZEY GC
VICTIMS OF CRIME
CURRENT OPINION IN PSYCHIATRY 9 (6): 401-406 NOV 1996
A little odd, it's the only one that doesn't mention PTSD????
Nevermind, found this descrip of said entry:
A selection of papers on victims of crime or interpersonal violence including domestic violence, sexual assault, physical assault and stalking behaviours is reviewed. The importance of interagency liaison is discussed as well as the neurobiological basis for the memory deficits apparent in post-traumatic stress disorder .
I can't see why they'd go thru the bother of bolding the dates unless it meant something. I have no clue, but am asking the question of those who know - If it's proper citation notation to bold the dates, is it also proper to not list in alphabetical or chronological order?
Here are the end of the dates in the order in which they appear.....
83 00 91 85 96 92 96 98 93 96 04

AQN is Arnold Q. Niehoffer, yet another of Wongmo/Leo Kane/Schuffhausen's aliases. From what I recall, he sent some threatening letters to Phillip Gairden...or was it the other way around? We never really did find out what his significance was.

HAHA we learned last time that writing in for clues doesn't work with Wongmo... I don't think it will this time.
/me fondly remembers the "are you 64?" joke.
