Coagulation is probably my best map, and I've been playing CTF on Live for years (Mechassault, Crimson Skies, etc), and it's the most common game type on the clan Optimatch system, so I felt pretty confident I could leave without missing *too* much. What I need help with is basically Slayer tactics. How to snipe, how to kill someone else before they kill you, work on the less-commonly used/more complicated maps, etc.

Good stuff. That's the kind of thing I need to hear so I know what you guys think you suck at, and what you want to learn more of. I'm going to start coordinating (surprized?) with some of the other trainers and see what 'classes' people are willing to offer.

If it hadn't been for Angelo being so freakin' good, I might've had more fun than is clinically withstandable by human lungs. So, thanks Angelo for possibly saving my life while simultaneously killing it six times. Meanie. Raspberry

About Coagulation, I think CTF games should have Return Flags turned off on this map, specially when it's 16-player game. Otherwise it just takes too long!!

From now on I'll be playing two flag CTF. Games go faster when you have to defend and offend (I'm very offensive Wink ) at the same time.

I liked flying the banshee around, looking for the sniper trails, and finding waters behind that same damned rock every time. I would then fly in and just blast away. I think I got 'im a couple of times that way, or at least kept him from killing my peeps...

same for weephun. I had fun running him around at one point, trying to splatter him.

When we meet next Saturday, I fully expect you to be wearing your mask.

I had a blast in the first SPDR Ninjas/Beekeepers match last night. Great fun all around and even great sportsmanship, an unfortunate rarity on Xbox Live.

You got that right. There's simply no excuse for being as close to a serial killer as you are. (Unless, of course, if your goal is to teach us all how to be that malicious and Evil or Very Mad )

EDIT: Speaking of which, can I get into EVADEEVADEEVADE, or is that for you and some locals?

Yah, coagulation is just too large of a map with bases that are too easily defended (small entry points with large open spaces all around the bases) for 1 flag CTF.

Smaller maps like Zanzibar with multiple larger entry points and plenty of quick cover around the base work much better for 1 flag CTF.

Yep, splattering is my favorite way to kill people: http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStats.aspx?panel=medals&gameid=7142194&player=weephun apparently waters100 enjoys it too Wink

I definitely intend to infect you all with the devilish desire to kill that so permeates my being... Twisted Evil

how else will I ever lead my minions into world domination in the name of the bee?

That is actually a clan set up by atdt specifically for chicago beekeepers. I'll send you an invite.

That was my buddy, not me. I was the one firing the lock-on rocket at you! Cool But yeah, you made him waste valuable sniper ammo shooting at you. At least he was keeping you from flying around killing us!

I prefer 1 flag games just because it's cool to have 16 players all around the same area!! Pretty messy! No returned flags should help, no?

But I agree with weephun. Zanzibar is my favorite level for CTF. VERY hard to defend!

Remarkably, I didn't have any jerks in optimatch last night. The "worst" comment I heard was "I can't believe we just got schooled by a bunch of girls!" Usually it's wonderful lines like, "You guys are gay!" or the ever present "You guys suck!" when they had us outnumbered 8-6 and they won 2 flags to 1. We try to do the old gradeschool slap-the-entire-team's-hands-after-game tactic and congratulate the other clan on a good match.

What's wrong with kids today?

Every time I flew around to try and kill people, you'd get me with the rocket, or I'd get ping ping ping ping ping ping'd until my banshee was a smoking mess, and I had to vault out of it to the ground. I figured taking out the sniper was more valuable than almost killing one or two people in the main open area ...

I did have a good run trying to splatter people, though. I got them running a lot, that's for sure. Dance, little spartan, dance! Ahahahahahahaha!

Yah, I really like the banshee just for taking out snipers and defense reconnaissance. If you hang way back with it, you can let your other defenders know exactly what's coming and make quick sniper kill trips when needed while staying mostly out of the way of incoming rockets.

It's also nice for "parachute drops" into the other teams base.

Except when the pilot drops the whole freaking banshee on top of the flag, making it even easier to defend it! Laughing
