Boston Area Beekeepers - Meet Up on Friday November 19

Hey Crew

So believe it or not this is my very first post! Though I am a LONG time lurker...

I am going to be in the Boston area this weekend and have been in contact with Avatrix and TEAM CHOWDA and we are planning on meeting up on FRIDAY NOVEMBER 19th at 7PM to get a bite to eat and hang out and talk about all things bees.

The plan is to meet outside the Copley T stop (green line), on the INBOUND side (that's the South side of the street, if anyone is looking for it). Sorry -- I don't know the GPS coordinates for it. We are aiming for 7pm, as that should allow everyone to get out of work. Once we're there, we'll decide on where to eat.

If you need directions or are going to be late - send a PM to avatrix to get a cell number that you can call.

Make your decisions accordingly

Kristen

edit - made sticky for more visibility - Lou

Do you think we're stupid?

Do you actually think we would believe you're Kirsten Rutherford?...

I was all ready to be all, "I'm-a gonna move this thread!" and then I thought, "I really don't need my XBoxLive account to, like, suddenly disappear or something."

Woo Woo Yum-Yum. I am envious of this event!

Tennessee sucks.

Raspberry

I'm so very jealous. Every time Yum-Yum here does any kind of interacting with us, it's always out of reach.

I've always wanted to ask if she could hear me on the other end of that live call that I was trying to answer... it was wracking to hear her li'l princess voice and not be able to respond.

But you can see below what I think of the (apparently) delicious Mrs. Rutherford.

And what about Detroit then? Not even Red Wings games this year ... People might come to the Auto Show and that's it.

Not that it is my primary role here on the forums to hijack threads or anything....Not at all....

But I have to ask, having seen it twice, now: Why Yum-Yum? The Mikado? Lillian Jackson Braun "Cat Who..." series? You were eating really good chocolate when you picked a name?

And, when are you coming to Chicago/Milwaukee/somewhere here in the Midwest? Smile

Okay, I'll now let the thread resume its official course. Embarassed

Hehee, that reminds me of a radio show my friends and I did for Speech class back in High School. One of the commercials was for 1-800-NUKE-EM. (The station was 66.6 FM, WEVL... Evil Radio) In it, I was the voice in the background trying to come up with a reason why Nebraska was useful and shouldn't just be nuked to the stone age.

[At very end of commercial]
Tiny voice in background (me): But Nebraska has basketball!
Overly loud, imposing advertiser's voice interrupting: ONE EIGHT-HUNDRED NUKE 'EM!

If I ever find that tape in my room and learn how to turn regular tape into .wav, .mp3 or other such audio file, I'll do it.
Or maybe I can send it to theBruce and have him transcribe it... Wink
