Why didn't I read that thing sooner?

Now I haven't finished the campaign mode yet, so feel free to correct me (in spoiler tags) if I am not correct. But...

Okay, I got the CE of Halo 2 and it came with this little booklet called "Conversations from the Universe". (I'm not sure if it came with the regular edition or not. Probably did though.) The first page is 343 Guilty Spark's point of view of the events that take place in the first game and then just after...

Read the last two entries on the first page...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The artifact, it's not just a countdown device or a bomb... It's got 343 Guilty Spark in it?

I mean to look at that again if/when I get home tonight. By the way, the one page in that thing with complete jibberish on it has been translated by a few of us.. there's a Puzzles thread about it.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
...nope.

343 Guilty Spark got picked up by the Heretic. It is also worth noting that the Covenant calls them Oracles...and finds them *just* as annoying as humans do.
