We used to play a game..no name for it..where we would play on Sidewinder, warthogs only. We would park a warthog on one of the islands. That warthog was taboo..no one could touch it. Then we'd battle over the other warthog. You could use any weapon you chose, but the objective was to take the warthog and stay in it as long as possible.

It really gave great practice more than anything. You'd be tossing grenades at the warthog, or at the person trying to get in the warthog. Or you'd be up on the high ground launching rockets trying to hit the warthog across the field.

Another fun thing we would do, but it takes a loooooonnnnnngggg time is set it to legendary and go to the Silent Cartographer level. If you do this DO NOT USE GRENADES. Those grenades are saved up for a specific reason. What you do is you kill everything, including your own marines, in the entire level. After that you go to the spot where the two hunters are(over by the overshields) and you whack your buddy and get him to drop his grenades. Then you let him whack you. You continue to collect grenades and return to the spot to drop them. Make sure you drop them next to the overshields. When all the grenades are collected go to the spot and one of you pick up 1 grenade. I reccommend using a plasma grenade because they are more predictable. Learn the timer on the grenade(4 seconds for a plasma) toss it on the pile and when you get to 3 grab the overshield and stand on the pile of grenades. The explosion will be massive and because you are temporarily invincible when you grab an overshield you will not die from the explosion. What you get is a spectacular bird's eye view of the island.

Enjoy

I have an extra adapter bit - the part that plugs into the controller. You are on your own for the actual headset unless I talk my wife into letting me buy the Plantronics Halo 2 headset Wink If someone is in need, PM me and I'll be happy to send it to you for the cost of shipping (via paypal).

angelo I used to play almost the exact same gametype, except we called it 'b00b' (no I can't remember why). We also turned up the health and shields to max, which made it very interesting.

Sometimes we'd also play it with an impartial judge, who would grade our flips and jumps in the vehicles from 1-10, winner was the one with the highest total after X number of rounds Smile You could get some great stuff driving a ghost and using a tank with it's turret pointed up as a ramp!

Unfortunately the Halo 2 vehicle changes make this somewhat impractical now.

all my games have something to do with 'mama'... don't ask Razz I think it was just because we named the custom rockets game 'chaosmama', so then we started naming every other game type something to do with mama... all variants of default games, but things like 'mamasnipe', 'chaosmother' (team rockets:P), 'momsballs', and much more... it got pretty randy Laughing

edit: now I want to go back and find out what my actual 777th post was about... Smile

Ok, kiddies. My night of mischief is complete.
Got it all on tape too.
2 McD's and 1 BK.

Last McD's was just our luck to close so we didn't get anything but some footage of mee tapping the monitor.

So I have to convert and upload the footage. I am considering leaving it as just audio, though I can upload the video, download times would make it considerably not worth it.
Should befun to see some tormented fast food guys try to understand what the hell i am saying as I talk in rough Flea++ with a russian accent, or just talking as Melissa.

I had a lot of Halo 2 fun today. Early on in the afternoon, I hooked up with Dasro Kast, and let me tell you, two Beekeepers in Matchmaking can be fun.

Ol' Vortech tried to hop in the tumbler with us, but Matchmaking had a fit when he tried to play, so he let it be for today. Hopefully it'll quit playing with his emotions and let him join us in our fun.

Then I hooked it up with the bigger portion of Beekeepers this evening... It. Was. Fun.

I have to give props to Nova's excellent custom games, Pistol Whip and Near and Far. Both very fun, Marathon-esque game settings I could get really used to. Inspiring, so much so that I'll be making my own to try on you next week...

Also, I have to reminisce that the two games in which swords were abundant, I got more than my fair share of "Sneaky Snucks", "Snickety-Snacks", and "Not-So-Sneakys" (remember that one, Krystyn... Wink ) so much so that I won't be very vocal for a few days.

And for crying out loud, please call me TridenT. I know the gamertag says RokaR on it, but the word doesn't even sound cool unless said by Ahnuld, circa Conan the Barbarian, so just.. don't. (And when I find the son of a mother Censored who took the name 'trident' in the first place, he and I are gonna have words... Evil or Very Mad )
