Actually, I haven't found it to be that bad. People have been polite -- wished eachother a good game beforehand and were very sporting afterward.

Of course, there was the one guy I repeatedly beat down, who afterward sent me a voice message along with a friend request:

"Dude, I'm a legend, and you beat me! We should partner up."

I ignored him. I am a lowly 4, but even so, I know that someone who is a 1 probably doesn't qualify as a "legend."

<dubious grimace> I, who can't even walk straight, killed him at least 11 times (I stopped counting) in 6 minutes or however long those matches are. In between being killed by everyone else. I killed him with SMGs, with a needler, with numerous melee attacks. With a plasma pistol, once.

I've been meaning to ask... It's not that I don't like being a SPDR Ninja but does anyone know of a Washington (west coast, not D.C.) or Pacific Northwest Beekeepers clan?

My efforts at searching have come up empty.

I dont think that there are that many of us. there were only a hadfull of Portland beekepers to begin with, so not many of us available for a PNW clan from here.

A legend in his own mind, then?

And, uh, hey! I played really hard to get up to a 4. I'm not sure, but I think Xbox Live is promoting me, just 'cause I keep showing up to get shot.

Thunderclap, we definitely need to do that again. That had to be the longest winning streak I've seen in a LONG time. We definitely rock the house. Now if we could only find a fourth Beekeeper to fill out our party with, so we didn't have to rely on an unknown each time, we would be unstoppable! (Except by those immovable objects! Damn you, physics!)

Anyway, everyone else, thanks for the great skirmish before I had to leave. It was good to play with all of you at least once, and hopefully I'll manage to make it into some of your games some other time... stupid timezones.

Yeah, ditto. I spend most of my time disoriented and confused, so it can't be my skills that got me a 4 -- it must be my persistence. I have to have played something like 15 Rumble Pit games by now.

My usual philosophy online is "No speak, no listen" when it comes to complete strangers. With people I speak to on forums, via email, or in real life, I'll happily don the headset and microphone.

(That means I luv yez!)

And Dasro can tell you, we ran into some fun vocals in our day of fun last week... Smile

Yeah, we definitely had some "special" players in some of those games. I especially liked the guy that was ranting about his team losing after having all those kills in a minor assault game. I think somebody missed the point of assault somewhere Wink. I usually take my headset off in matched Rumble pit and Head to Head games, but I leave it on for team based games to at least attempt to communicate to the randoms you get Smile. Taking a party in is definitely the way to go, though. As usual, I had an absolute blast playing with everybody tonight. I swear I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Thanks for the good times.

Yeah, I do the same. There's just no reason to use headset on rumble pit games ... Even if you find some nice people there, you usually don't talk to them much.

And what a heartbreaker loss on that assault game on Midship! It was me, Dasro and INCyr and we were winning till our 4th guy left! Oh well ...

New lesson for me from last night.

To avoid lowering oneself to the level of trashtalker do not play Halo2 while in a bad mood.

I figured it would cheer me up to play some Halo2, none of you guys were on so I played with random people. Playing with random people who trash talk just made my mood worse. I was getting mad because team games are supposed to be team games. Usually it doesn't bother me, but last night...ohhhh... I was saying things like, "Ok, new plan. Let's allow the other team to regroup around their flag before we try to take it." and "Ok, let's all be snipers even though they are all inside their base."

I won't do that again.

Have a nice day y'all Wink
