wow.. that's uhm... wow. a lot of drinking.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat? One can never have too much drinking!!!

(Kidding, of course. Although I *do* apparently love beer. Hahahahaha, ironically, I hate beer. I'm more of a Hurricane guy m'self.)

Seriously, no one EVER has to drink at an ARGfest if one doesn't want to. There will always be someone else there willing to take care of all the public intoxication/embarrassment activities for you.

(Although I *would* consider paying GOOD HARD AMERICAN CASH to anyone who has photographic....or even better, VIDEOGRAPHIC evidence of Omnie plastered. Snicker.)

A tiny bit dizzy, maybe, but "plastered" is such a very strong word. Heh, I was far from being any kind of construction term. Also, "drinks" was really much closer to "drink." Like, for instance, two drink. But one was a really tall one! In a large glass. That I've forgotten the name of. The drink, not the glass. I never knew the glass's name. I'm going to stop typing now.

Hmm... Let's see - if the next ARG fest is held in NYC, Omnie will most likely attend. If we are willing to overlook minor technicalities (for example, legal consequences of contributing to the delinquency of a minor), we can probably get Omnie pretty plastered. And even capture the process on video!

Conclusion: vote for NYC, and you will have a chance of making some CA$H!! Ozy will be happy, you will undoubtedly be happy (or at least amuzed) to be in the presence of a drunk Omnie, Omnie will be happy ('cause she'll be plastered), and the New York jail system will be happy to make your acquaintance! Everybody wins Very Happy

I'm going to rue the day I posted in this thread, aren't I?

...Ah well. Sound reasoning. Vote ARGConFest NYC!

I would also offer bounties for photos of Yanka and JoeBrent inebriated, but the more I think about it the more I realize I don't think I've EVER seen a picture of either of them SOBER. Laughing

Discussed my attendance with the wifey today. She's not saying no.

However, June date is pretty much impossible for me. Apparently, being a teacher requires me to be in class in June (go figure). Chicago and NYC are feasible for me, as long as I stay somewhere cheap.

Change the date to July and I can almost guarandamntee coming.

I'll second that "JULY" nomination....

I'm game for July, as long as it's not the weekend of Defcon. Vegas, woo!

New York

joe - great picture, but was that from a surveillance camera?

I say if Jamesi can make it in july we need to make it july. My kid's birthday is july 11 and we could make it a really fun party. But I can't allow underage drinking there, sorry he is only a kid. And I try to limit the bad influences.....well, as long as no one tells him they are underage what he doesn't know won't hurt him.

Is there anyone who would definitely be not able to come to a july argfest o con?

spacely? steve? bill? varin? krystyn? addy? giskard? wishi? anthrax? sin? lou? dnbmathguy? danmand?(if you are going to school in Pittsburgh you might as well come to the city in July) scrappy? fi? omnie? danhon or adrianhon?? yanka? omnie? ozzie? nightmare tony?? anyone???

not to mention siege88, digitallyl337 and all the halo players we have gotten to know along the way. I have already promised to organize a (strictly voluntary) halo2 tournament...maybe we can get a live game going with people not able to attend? not to talk trash, but we all know which city won at the ilovebees event..

you guys know this is just a list, as they say on invitations to charity events, "in formation" -- the more the merrier -- we are going to really try to plan fun stuff and help people find fun stuff to do on their own as well.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone!!!

P.S. If we tell you we will plan an ARGfest o con special puzzle like event thing, does that ruin the curtain? If so, can everyone just maybe assume that some ARG like puzzle will possibly be made, considering that Sin, bagsbee, anthrax and joe are nearby? but, then, forget that I mentioned it? Very Happy

PPS. bagsbee forbids negative campaigning so all we can do is tell you all the great and fun stuff you can do here. I agree that flexibility is the key so that people can participate in what they want, go sightseeing or shopping or whatever they choose and then hook up or hang out all day.

On the contrary, we need sober people at the ready with their cameras for when we get rat-arsed and make complete fools of ourselves.

Seriously though, there's only like 87 billion things to do in NYC, there's gotta be a few that don't involve drinking, although they all escape me at the moment.

1. Bagsbee, your avatars get progressively more and more creepy. Yeesh. I'm sending you my therapy bill.

2. Pixiestix, you will absolutely not be a party pooper for not drinking. Now if you go around the dance floor and start yelling that you want to see daylight between the couples, that is another story. [Wink] Seriously though, there are those who imbibe and those who don't. Generally I don't drink until I'm sobbing into my Cheerios anymore, so I should be able to provide some semi-coherent conversation through the night.

3. Rose, I think that late July would be perfect for me. I already spoke with the hub about it, and he said as long as there are a few weeks lag time for us to recuperate after our mega road/camping trip the last week in June, that he thinks we can go. He even said he had a good time in Orlando. That boy gets smarter every day.
