I am not sure when my phone line came back, but it was not there when I fell into a narcoleptic coma around 8 or 9 PM last night, and then I awoke at 4:30 AM, all the lights on, cats draped over me like very cute leeches, the dial tone was back. With DSL signal.

Aw haw haw haw yeah.

Yeeeeaaaaaah Laughing Krystyn's back Smile

I had a great time on live last night. I do reccommend playing with a buzz on. I did really well for my senses being all mingled, even while driving the warthog. I did have a nasty rollover in it, and I think I ran someone over. For some reason it feels bad when I am under the influence and I run someone over in the hog.

I'll be around for Thanksgiving. Just going down the road the the folks house.

Please drink responsibly. Don't drink and drive for real.

After some fun teaming last night (And I don't even want to go look at those stats yet, because it's too early and our final defeat was too embarassing) with TheBruce, Nova, Angelo, thunderclap (a little bit) and Kaka5hi, I went and set up a few fun recipies of my own. I can't wait to try them out with you guys and gals... so far I've made one setting for each game type, so there'll be some variety for sure.

With names like Flagrant, Wear a Cup, and Army of One, how can they lose?

Last night was the first time I went to play a LAN game with some folks from work. I should have just stayed home, I guess. I started out pretty well: 2nd out of 7 on a free-for-all. By the end of the night it was 5 vs 2, and those 2 were beating us over and over. I'm pretty sure 1 of our 5 man team was just serving to up their body count.

Finally, I went home and signed in to XBL to recover a shred of dignity. I asked to join TridenT, Angelo, Thunderclap, and Kaka5hi; but, they were busy in a long match already. "I know, I'll start playing matchmaking head to head," says I, thinking I would get mismatched with a new player. How right I was; the first 2 games I got blown away. After the last "Dude, you suck", I unplugged the headset and wiped the map with someone who neither expected nor deserved it. I hope he stuck around to beat someone else down before he went to sleep, too.

Sorry about that, Clayfoot... we tried to grab ya, but for some reason you either didn't get our message or couldn't get a response through. Then we got dragged into a super-long, high-intensity CTF match that we just barely squeezed a last-second tie out of.

Unlike the boarding of tanks. I was riding around on the back of someone's Scorpion for a good long while punching merrily away at the grille on the back - I think grenades might have been more effective if I'd had any Smile

And it seems only one person can be jacking a tank at a time... you can hop onto the side of it and do the same thing, but if someone's on the side, you can't hop on the back... nifty... really, that's only useful for grenades, cuz bashing just takes forever to do any damage... maybe it can never destroy a tank, but it weakens it (the fire in the engine starts pretty quickly actually)

actually, maybe you have to bash it open before you can toss in a grenade... which would explain bashing not doing any more damage - all it does is open the engine for a grenade... hm. anyone want to test the theory? Smile

I've never done it, but I read around that if you board the tank from behind, you can open the hatch and throw a grenade inside, killing the driver.

Is there anyone else who is at work and as bored as I am right now?

You mean, bored of looking at all the empty cubes from people that took the week off? Put me on that list!
