but hear me out:

in relation to gary's post, about www.mastercube.com:

i am not sure if this was mentioned in other threads, but nonetheless i felt it might be important to mention it here also.
both the ps and pc sites have this neat-o feature on the photos (as some of you may have already noticed) that when you select all, and right click on the photo, then click anywhere else on it, a square section of the photo comes up, keep doing this and the whole image is sortof re-squared into view.

not being web-design savvy, i tried doing this on alternative web-sites, to find that this is indeed somewhat a unique feature. now going back to the mastercube site, try doing the same thing with the photo there. select all, right click on it and forward click anywhere else on it. hey presto its the same thing as seen on the first two in-game websites.

that couple with the possible likelyhood of it being 'Master' that is blacked out, seem like a connection to me, a tiny one, but hey its there Wink

now this may be a conicidence with the web layout?but are the chances of that high? i am not sure, what do you guys think.

edit: i use firefox browser (grr they stole my name) maybe it doesnt work for others? dunno.

Personally, I'm not so confused about what the word is as who blacked it out - if sente wrote the letter directly to us, then there's no reason for him to censor it, he could have just not written the word in the first place (and if he wants us to find it, telling us it's full name would benefit him). This would lead me to think that it's gone through someone between us, but who? Maybe someone who wants us on the trail, but doesn't want us to know exactly what we're after; but then they could just rewrite the letter with the word left out :/ Maybe the letter wasn't to us, but just found, and the word was already blacked out - the person who the letter was to originally read it and blacked it out to stop anyone else reading it, but kept the rest of the letter as it wasn't incriminating without that word...

No but is it possible that re-jigging the picture letter along the lines of the way the mastercube page is re-jigged might reveal any new messages?

I don't want to shoot down your first piece of speculation and I wish I could offer some constructive criticism, but I believe this has been discussed earlier in the thread.

Hey, firefox! I looked into that and I thought the London parallel was pretty funny.

The site is strange and seems to contain a mirror of some kind of Spanish-speaking Canadian service site (http://www.mastercube.com/optimuminspection/) and that's about it.

So can we finally close the debate on this?

It seems that mastercube.com is in the web design business. We also get an email from there. From a google search it also seems that they were a webhost.
