Ohhhh..so now you want x-ray vision...

That would be great! Wink Truth is that Coagulation is not an easy map to steal the flag! Too easy to defend! It's challenging and fun, but can become boring ...

Yeah, It's pretty funny to listen to things Krystyn says during the game. In particular, I like when you start shooting her and she doesn't know where you are! Wink

The carry flag option is great. It's somewhat similar to assault where both teams can carry the same object.

I'd just like to say that this happens less often than it used to, but still too often for my liking!

Very Happy

I really hate when I try turning fast with the sticks, and I end up zooming on my weapon view. Gah! I have died so many times that way, because then it takes me a split second to come back to normal view, and by that point, my shield is down.

Heh heh.

Hot Damn!!!

Wow...this is my 1st post in a while. I've been checking the boards but I've not been able to contribute due to RL being so hectic.

I can't wait to hook up on LIVE with my fellow Keepers. Look for me to message some of you soon.

It's great to see us all still keeping in touch!!!

You know I was just thinking... why didn't bungie give the option for the flag to be carried back to the home base to return it? I mean, that's the most realistic right? You've got the sticky flag (the team has to guard it wherever it's dropped), the touchy flag (the team just has to touch it to return it to their base), and the carry flag (someone has to carry it back to the base... it's in between the first two, and it's realistic, so why wouldn't they make that an option?

Or did they already and I'm just missing it...? Confused

I mean, then you could get some wild back and forth flag fights... and as 2 flag CTF, that's some crazy strategy that would be needed! Imagine, your flag is stolen, so one group goes out to retrieve it while the other goes out to grab the enemy flag... in the end 2 guys end up running side by side with both flags up to their home plate for the score Very Happy

I don't think that that would work. Would the other team loose track of the flag indicator when your team picks up your flag? If so all you had to do was get someone from your team to pick up the flag and hide somewhere. Alternately you could just take the flag with you and drop it somewhere that it's much harder to get to. It would make the game VERY annoying.

Why would you lose track of the enemy flag when they have it? If you see the indicator of the enemy flag at all times already, it's only your own flag that you need to search for when an enemy has it. So yeah, you'll where the enemy flag is at all times...

but I could still a problem I guess... a player re-captures their own flag, but instead of taking it back to the base, they take it to a better 'home location' if they don't like the map's default... maybe farther away from the enemy, or deep within a cave or something... then it doesn't matter if they still see where it is, it's just much harder to get.

There could be a work-around though, maybe have a 20 or 30 second limit before the flag jumps back home if not picked up by an opponent player... then you still get the back and forth strategy... opponent has my flag with a few buddies protecting him, I chase him and manage to kill him, grab the flag and try to get it back as close to the base as I can or hold it for 30 seconds, before his buddies kill me to get the flag back, but now my buddies are on their way to stop them too, so you get a more difficult battle, because both teams now in a sense have to play offense fighting for the flag, instead of them trying to get the flag and us simply trying to protect the flag... now we can also try to make it harder for them to get the dropped flag again...

I think it would be a great idea! I can imagine the skirmishes that would ensue...

If you read the books the master chief actually has to click on an open channel for people to hear him outside of his MOJLNIR, that sucker is air/sound tight.
Perhaps the same team "improved" the armor as "improved" the pistol and vehicle armor.

Hey, the pistol still rocks, it's just not a hand-held railgun anymore Very Happy

I guess if we really wanted to get technical we could designate a team who was going for the flag grab as Alpha team, give them their own private comm channel, and then give Bravo team, who clears out the base/provides cover for the flag snatcher another private comm channel. Then the two leaders of each team could have their own comm channels so they can coordinate with each other. Then you got HQ comms. Someone needs to stay back to make sure no one is attacking the HQ, or waiting there for the flag guy to come back. That still leaves all buttons available because this could be achieved with the otherwise useless D-pad. Or of course you could get a neural implant, pop an AI in there and let her/him arrange all communiqué between teams.

Who needs an AI, just let me stand up on one of the hills behind the base with a sniper rifle and I'll do all the coordinating for you... Wink

OK, whoever it was that spotted "waters, under the bridge" nearly made me hurt myself laughing last night.

The sniper training game was loooooooooooooooonnnnnng, and I had a slight headache after it was over, but ultimately, I got more comfortable with sniping. I think. Mostly, I got to know that middle section of waterworks a bit better. Yeesh. It's so unnerving to hear some dude crooning, "I hear krystyn, she's around here somewhere! where aaaaaaare youoooo, krystyyyyynnnnnnn!" and meanwhile, I am totally crouch-walking and wondering if I have enough time to mute my mic before I am pinged soundly in the head ...

The splattering fiests continues on Coagulation, though. I just like to flatten my enemy. Twisted Evil

Haha, Coagulation was a 45 minute madhouse. I still can not possibly fathom how I managed to walk the flag all the way across the map for the win. Shoot, I don't even know how we got the flag out of their base three times; Red was playing some really good D!

hehe. I didn't hear that ... Maybe because I was dead! Laughing

I hate that center portion of waterworks. It was just overcrowded there and I suck at close range with a sniper rifle! Got killed multiple times while getting 2-3 kills maximum there!

well after that sniper training game i learned one key thing. I am not a sniper. I think that i got all of 12 kills in the whole hour long game, most of which i got with the butt of my gun, the others with a granade.
