So, anyone know if BitTornado is any better at, "It will update one file and download some new material.", than Shareaza, which is apparently too stupid to do this?

Please make sure that Shareaza is saving the files into the same directory with the new torrent that it did with the previous one. Then, force a re-check of the data. It should indicate about 90% of data completion.
Or, utilize Azureus which does it automatically.

Ah, yes, well that is the point Binarius. Shareaza seems to treat torrents the same as files from P2P networks, the 'final' location contains no files at all, while the temporary location for downloads contained a huge file that was the full size of 'all' of the data, not serperate files. In other words, until and unless Shareaza *completes* a download, there are no files for it to look at or update. Most Torrent clients create the directory structure and files where they are supposed to end up in the first place, then write the data as it arrives to there. That is why they work right in this case, while Shareaza doesn't apprear to have the ability to even recognize that the same files are contained in the torrent. This is in fact a 'known' issue, listed in the torrent section of their forums, though they consider it more of an issue for creating new torrents than updating anything previously downloaded or updates to an existing one. Same result though, Shareaza currently can't do it properly, 'unless' it has completed downloading the earlier version.

If it can, then I haven't a clue how or where to make it do that. All it does is create a second download, while the first, as yet incomplete, download is still sitting there trying to finish.

A solution seems thus all too simple to even mention. There is nothing that would prevent you from running Shareaza AND Azureus for some time, is there?

A suggestion on my part, if I may.
Let use move further discussion to this thread http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7930 to avoid two concurrent tracks.

The number of people who emailed Dana could be enormous, as predicted.

The number of people feeling pissed off that the end of the ARG was such a mess could also be enormous. We're still waiting for responses and/or public comment, Dana.

Firstly, I am as astonished as Krystyn at the end being supposedly a mess. It was the farthest thing from a mess, in my view!

Secondly, the number of downloaders seems surprising to me. There were hardly that much active followers of the story... I am inclined to believe that a large part of those who download the DVD expect it to contain something it does not.

And thirdly... Can someone please help me seed Sparky's CD compilation..? I am the only seed now, with 4 peers connected, and my 20k/s max upload bandwidth can hardly handle it... Thanks.

With ARG's alot of players don't say anything, so you won't really know they are there. Smile

Again, I implore.

I am the only one that has been seeding Sparky's I Love Bees CD compilation for the past month or so.

Someone please SEED the damn thing, when you download it! I keep Azureus running 24/7, surely you can hide it away in the background so that it shares its share, too.
