After seeing all the new posts and not having time to read them I had an idea....

When you create a topic can a drop-box be added for [tags] this would force all topics to have a tag (which hopefully means the mods don't have to add them all the time).

Hopefully when that's done you can make a search functionality that uses those tags to only search certain posts. When you search for what a character said you don't really care about [humour] [meta] [spec], it should help to narrow results alot.

Also it would be nice, with my limited time, if I could view new posts sorted by tag, since I'm not really interested in most the spec.

It's actually been discussed a couple of times already colin, but I think the general consensus was it wouldn't help too much as sometimes there is cause for multiple or different than usual tags.

It would be nice however to be able to filter by a category. Maybe we can figure a way around it so that if a post is not labeled when the person adds a post a category drop down could be used so the label could be added automatically.

Modified default search settings and added RSS buttons to the bottom of forum pages.

• Added Wishi-San's superfly "Jump to Page" Dropdown Mod on topic views for easy intra-thread navigation.
  
• Also added Wishi-San's jiggety RSS Category Mod, so you can now grab a feed for an entire category at a time (like: New topics in the Haunted Apiary (Let Op!) Category).
  
• Modified index and category displays to include RSS buttons for the entire forum or the category, depending on what you're looking at.

Since we haven't had a new feature in ooh, a day, we've got some more now

I think you'll like these ones, long needed search extensions. You can now choose to search just the topic title so you could search for SPEC/PUZZLE etc. and you can also limit your search to only topics which are unlocked.

With the forum maintenance, did we lose existing attachments to forum posts? It seems that they're missing, at least...

As of last night, the attachments (750 MB of them) were being reintroduced to their new habitat.

I dunno if the process is completely over yet, but that's what was happening.

I also noticed the jetpack smiley was gone. I was gonna use it in a pm this morning, and alas, it's just the word, no image.
