I SEE SYZYGY PEOPLE!

Okay folks I think this is justified as a new thread... Cool ( My first too! )

...basically my mate was tending to a call of nature whilst in a place known as 'Quiggins' in Liverpool City Centre...

...on the wall of the right cubicle in the gents was "www.perplexcity.com join the search for the cube"...

...instantly when told of this i thought one of the Liverpool crew of arg'ers thought it be good promo for syzygy...

...which is nice...

...which leads me to think others have done the same up and down the country! Maybe you have found something similar to this? Why not post it here? You know it makes sense!

BTW - I am yet to witness the graffiti but will take a photo then the hand writing of the advertiser could be identified as someone here! What this would achieve is beyond me but still it's like a mini 'whodidit'!

Walking into the gents loos with a camera. Not suspect at all! I do want to see a pic though.

Maybe I should start using public toilets now..! Remember to check in the bowl for clues Wink

I think this is actually super-cool. In Pattern Recognition Cayce would sometimes recognize random people as fellow "footage heads", and I remember thinking as I read it "it'd probably be a great feeling to realize that a stranger ahead of me in the supermarket line is playing my game; or even to see mentions of the game out on the street - on a bus stop, or in graffiti, or on a bathroom wall Smile " I think I may have said something about that in the "If I were a PM thread". Anyway, I think it'd be kinda cool and funny if we started writing that in odd places... or, maybe even designed some sort of sticker?

It would be a great way to both get the word out on a great thing and a way to connect with fellow players (we need more people in the southeastern States on this game, even if it is UK based...I feel so lonely!).

I'd vote cheap (but quality) stickers.

i have always been of the great opinion that arg should always remain underground, but in a way that everyone knows about it. Think Mason's only without the moose antlers. So yes for the purposeful acts of graphitti. A shiny penny for the best one i see.

And on the topic of going into toilets with cameras i was once 'nicked' for that, some pompous security guard on my university campus in freshers year. It was my friends photography project, and whilst it was meant to be some pretentious struggle of humanity against the desire for destruction in the aftermath of a nuclear holocaust (Kent uni's colleges make good underground bunkers). Well, it ended up looking like two big guys in coats menacingly follow a smaller guy and try to put shoes on him. In short the security guards radio message went along the lines of: "Three men have locked themselves in the toilets at 3am, they have a camera and one of them is in a state of undress". i feel the need to tell everyone this story, apologies. Now off to grab some spray cans and the camera.

Don't feel too lonely. I'm in Decatur just east of Atlanta, so there's at least two of us down here.

Project Syzygy Recruitment Stage 2: notes on the walls of the bathroom stalls.

I can picture one now, right next to "for a good time...." Wink

Who knows, it might draw a few people from here in Indiana.

Implying that people from Indiana are more susceptible to things written on a men's room wall?
