If I didn't already have a plane ticket to St. Louis for NYE, I'd consider coming to DC... I have friends that have been bugging me to visit DC for a while anyway. But, I already got to meet her, and I should be good and share her with others.

Also, you got to meet HitsHerMark! It helps a little that she and I get to 'see' each other on Live occasionally - comparing our mud masks. Does anyone ever get the feeling while playing Halo 2 on multi that you've actually sort of met the people you play with regularly, when you've never actually been in the same room, ever?
Or is it just me?
No, I agree with you completely, especially of the beekeepers.

aye, it's another level of the community as one whole... taking interaction to the next level...
although, I end up remembering that episode of sliders where there were two people left in the world (the US ) because the game style of mechs grew to the point of becoming so real, that the mechs they controlled in real life destroyed everything as a part of the game, and they were the two remaining humans (of course, boy and girl) left, stuck in this Real VR world in their homes, playing this game, with no interaction with the outside world...
ok, maybe not a direct comparison, but still... I can just picture in the future all physical interpersonal interaction being dismissed because it's so much easier to interact with people from the comfort of your own home so in the end no one goes anywhere to be with people... we've got all the interaction we need over the internet bah that future

It's like in that movie with Sylvester Stallone and Sandra Bullock..What's it called? Anyway..He was frozen for quite a long time then they brought him back in this crazy future world..at one point Sandra Bullock was like, "Let's have sex." The Italian Stallion was all psyched about this..heck, it had been years since he was with a woman. She handed him some helmet, he put it on, she put hers on, and they had sex except the Stallion got freaked out and cut it short.
make sure you learn to use the seashells.

Demolition Man.
The problem with that flick was that the future was 1996.

"Pull a 'weephun'"?
Oh, you mean sponsor a trip? No, but thank you...I'm genuinely touched.
I can afford plane tickets and a hotel. I'm just not sure if I can do it from a scheduling standpoint.

They could mean; beat you over the head and drag you to DC against your will. Or was that only considered for Weephun?

Try living in Spokane Washington. If she is lucky Kristin won't get within a 500 miles of here. Didn't even get an axon here, but if Spokane did I probably would have been the only one trying to answer it. *lol*

Hmm.
This is quickly becoming something I want to go to. Now, I need to find a way to get about three hundred bucks in between now and New Year's Eve.

I fortunately escaped any beatings to the head, though the generosity will never be forgotten. ..... somehow I suspect there were those quite happy to get a chance to do some head beating, but as far as I could tell none of them made it to SF ... or maybe I just ducked at the right moment

I answered 2 in Coeur d'Alene most every week. I saw 2 highschoolers from Post Falls at one the first week, and a guy from I don't know where at the other the first week. Then nobody, ever again.
