[PUZZLE] The Hiding Room Site

Not sure if I should spoiler this or not, so I will. Feel free to advise me on how to go about doing my posts!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There's a bunch of stuff in the flash at http://www.thehidingroom.com/thehidingroom.html linked from Jon's about page (http://www.hewalksamongus.com/about.htm) when you click his eye.

I've found a few things so far, including possibly another puzzle. Should I post that as well? Sorry for all the questions and whatnot, this is the first time I've involved myself in an ARG.

Something else I noticed that amused me on this site:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you click the lamp when viewing the desk, you'll get a nice flowchart looking diagram that looks like a more paranoid version of my own notes, and maybe yours as well. Seems like we're following a path that Jon has already uncovered.

Good find WolfLord!

Wow, what an amazingly fun puzzle this is going to be! Very Happy

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The "flowchart" looks like a map of all the in-game websites and their interconnectivity.

*sigh* If it doesn't work for you, then maybe you're at thehidingroom.com instead of www.thehidingroom.com - it appears Jon, in his genius, only wanted you to access it with the www.

Edit: lmao, yeah, DID forget to speak my peace. Just saying that that part actually gave me the spooks a bit.

Uuuuh.. ThaJinx, generally it's more fun to put something new into a post rather than just quoting an old one.

Didja forget to speak your piece?

Whoooaaa...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Has anybody found the safe behind the Study bookcase? It requires a password to open...

To find open the shelf to reveal the safe, you have to click on three books in a specific order. First click the slanted book on the top shelf in the box second from the left, which should open showing the second half of a S+S card. Close it without doing anything. In the box just below (in the middle row of shelves) there is another slanted book; click on it to open it, then close it. The last book is in the far right box of the middle shelf, third book from the right. Open and close it. After a moment, a book on the far left of the shelf should just fall over, and the entire bookshelf will swing out to reveal the safe.
Anybody else find this yet?

So, if you head up the stairs, there's a door, requiring a password.

Entering the bathroom:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
turn on the faucet and find fiedlio

But, what could the password be?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you go up the stairs from the study and look to the far right, there's a clickable switch which turns on a light downstais, revealing the number 5045. It opens the safe to the study, revealing two books inside. The book on the left does nothing, but clicking the book on the right prompts a screen asking for name, email, and password

not really much use at this stage, but the number from inferno deliveries is the isbn number for a book on advertising.

Ah, poo. you beat me to posting about the safe. In any case:

The code is 5045.

In it are two books. Only one is clickable; the big one on the right.

Clicking it gets a Name Email Password prompt.

Any ideas on what works?

Click the books (use tab to find them) on the bookshelf in the order top-shelf, middle-left, middle-right. It made me refresh before it would work.

Using the tab key, I also figured out that you can click on the Stereo button...it zooms in and plays some techno.

What I've found on the safe...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The username, initially, is Jon Harker. E-Mail is jonharkerSPLAThewalksamongus.com -- but then, password seems to be blank. All fairly obvious so far, but any clues about the password? I get the feeling we're overlooking something, maybe on the computer or lamp.
