It sure does! Haven't seen you on Live for a while, Dasro. Bored already?

I'm on the 6-6:30 during weekdays and 9-11 during weekends range.

Oh, for a regular 6 hours of sleep. Six hours is a very good night for me.
See if you can't improve that leading up to the LSAT test day, anyway. Try adding 15-30 minutes more each night.

Here's a bit more useless trivia on sleep. A research group decided to study what would happen to brain patterns if people slept whenever the sun was down, the way people did before indoor lighting was invented. When they were awake (but still in bed), the participants would enter brain pattern states typically achieved only by masters of meditation.

Heh. The LSAT's tomorrow morning.

And, considering that I've had insomnia problems my entire life -- I've seen sleep specialists about it, I do all the stuff you're supposed to do, I've even tried prescription drugs...blech, no more sleep aids other than melatonin ever!...I don't know that it would have helped anyway. Sad

Well, I suggest the "if you can't beat them" solution. Since you are most likely to be awake, use the opportinity for night jobs and long gaming sessions. I know insomnia would have helped Clayfoot and I while in Chicago. Maybe you can even do research for undergrads and high schoolers who need to cram. I figgure you'll either become a millionaire (from work and/or gaming skills) or bore yourself to sleep. Either way is a positive outcome.

Ack! I hope I haven't kicked off a subthread of suggestions on curing your insomnia.

I don't suffer from insomnia. I only sleep 6-6.5 hours/night because I just can't go to bed earlier than 11:30-12:00.

But lately, I've been playing halo2 and then go to bed. I just can't sleep for, at least, 0.5-1 hour! Too much adrenaline on Live and I just need some time to calm down. And I think it can even happen after a very relaxed game of bumper cars! Laughing

The final, ultimate cure for insomnia.

Note: your computer needs to be in the room you sleep in for this to be effective.

Also good as a muscle relaxant, brain massager, and spirit cleanser.

oh my... I'd get annoyed with that enough to turn it off before I fall asleep! it's like 10 seconds of nothing but acoustic picking...gentle and serene as it is, it has 22 beats before looping, so its rhythms is just odd... personally, I'd find it more irritating than relaxing, and there's loads of nature music out there that is extremely relaxing... I have on cd of the recording of a thunderstorm, no music, just the soft, gentle rumble of thunder in a rainforest, with sound of nature all around; different animals and birds... it's digitally 'tweaked' to be all the more serene and relaxing... I love it, but I can't seem to find it Smile

Thas nice..I'm trying..not..to..falll..asleeepp....zzzzzzzzzz.

It sounds like the kind of stuff I play on my guitar. I like the nice mellow pieces with the bass that carries the melody.

Hey, great! I'll see you on Live... as soon as I replace my TV. Sad

-- Steve notes that the picture tube doesn't fade out as fast or as often when it's just running through the VCR, but at some indeterminate point during Halo play it just fades to black and won't come back until a long time shut off.

I don't have insomnia per se, but if I try to go to sleep before 3 am, it's a bust. Hence why I usually play Halo 2 half the night(or go online. Same thing, really).

Guys, I wanna apologize to people that sent me message yesterday about invites and I didn't reply! Well, most messages came during a match and it's pretty hard to check messages when you're getting shot at from different directions! Laughing Unless it's on Coagulation, where you can find a spot to hide, I usually wait till the end of the game. Well, sometimes I completely forget to reply to my messages! Embarassed

So, one suggestion. If you want to join a group, you can send a message during the game, but I suggest you to send another one when the person goes to pre-game lobby. It'll remind the person that you're still there waiting! Cool

Also, I am learning my lesson and not checking messages as much during a game.

I believe it was CirrusStrafe who incited others (at least 4 or 5) to send me audio messages all at once in order to distract me!

Very Happy

It was hysterically funny, though: each one was different, and very much in the style of the person sending it. Heh heh.

"This message is a distraction!"

"Attention! This message is being sent to you as a distraction technique. There is a rocket launcher pointed at you right now, so you better stop listening and jump!"

"angelo is right behind you, and he's going to bash you in the head! This has been a distraction message!"

and on and on.

You bastardos, I didn't check them till -after- the game. Muahahahaha.
