I just noticed someting odd on the bottom of the page...
on the bottom left there is this hyperlink:
poiuawreopjaskd;
Maybe it has to do with the "kljs;lkjldkj" title...
The link destination (http://adfgawdfsdfasdf/) look awfully like the classic randomizer: the one-hand keyboard mash...

Look at your keyboard...assuming you have a "standard" QWERTY type keyboard (so named for the letters in the top left), you should see that A, S, D and F are all right next to each other. W and G are also quite close.
So try this: Put four fingers on the ASDF keys and mash them down several times. You should come up with something like: faaffdasfdsafdsaafdsafds

ok new clues on the livejournal page.
this is tough.
i decoded the text as a vignere using the keyword from the usual place and i got this:

HEY GUYS SOME PEOPLE HAVE BROKEN THE CODE INTO MY JOURNAL SO IM JUST GOING TO DO A NEW CIPHER THE SAME WAY AS THIS ONE WITH THE VIGENERE CIPHER AGAIN BUT THIS TIME IM GOING TO CHANGE THE CODEWORD TO THE BOOK OF MY FAVORITE WRITER I CLEANED OUT MY WALLET TODAY IT WAS MY ID CARD AND SINGLES MY ID NUMBER WASN'T WHAT I REMEMBERD IT TO BE THANKS YALL

NDSXI YQZCX SHBPD KVKMV WFCQY
DSKJI NYLIY LSIOH MPYMS IFGSB
IFGDV CEMWN SHWIA RPRBS ITYDA
JLWKH CHDOL AXUA
the problem is.... well one of the problems is...
is the ciphertext at the end the correct ciphertext?
or should we use the ciphertext from before we used the keyword to decode it? meaning:

i powe lcfuatpiug dvsnu oct
also, i was wondering, when solving for a keyword, does the fact that they give us the spacing and punctuation help at all? because the software i use to help me solve for keyword always breaks it up into colums automatically.

notice the slash in the ciphertext? there will be a web address there. so the three letters before the slash can be com or net or org. how can we use letters we know to help us crack a vignere?

wow that tool is a lot cooler than the program ive been using.
at least i was right about the keyword length. but beyond that, im not sure how i would have solved that keyword. it isnt even a word.
i thought it had something to do with the isbn but i cant figure out what. im going to try some stuff. i want to understand how we were supposed to deduce the keyword.
but thanks for the help and the site. its awesome!

still no idea where the keyword came from. can anybody figure this out? how, without brute force, were we supposed to solve for this keyword with the clues we had?
anyway, i went to the site, emailed the guy, am waiting on a response.

i emailed him about his "unpublished" books about ghosts, since the other message we decoded was about a ghost trying to kill them.
anyway, its driving me nuts trying to understand how else we could have deduced this strange keyword. do you think its connected to the isbn of democracy in america?
