Magestaff/Titania, I have really liked the poetic distraction. Thanks Smile

mortal behavior

.
sgct don't want to look mean but isn't this a waste of bandwidth? I could be wrong, of course, but IMHO, Titania is a free-rider and should be ignored. I could be wrong...

Titania, prove it by providing a link or some other info that is valid to the game. Otherwise, shut up and stop deflecting player energies.
Puck has fled the haunts of men;
Ridicule has made him wary:
In the woods and down the glen,
No one meets a fairy!

Cream! the greedy Goblin cries
Empties that deserted dairy--
Steals the spoons and of he flies
Still we seek our Fairy!

Ah! What form is entering?
Love lit eyes and laughter airy
Is not this a better thing,
Child, whose visit thus I sing.
Even than of fairy?

Titania, Beloved of Oberon

All we see or seem is but a dream within a dream

And then there is the Faery Queen, Mab, or, as she is sometimes called,
Titania. She travels with her faeries in attendance, and she is a Lady
of some Passion:

"Out of this wood do not desire to go:
Thou shalt remain here, whether thou wilt or no.
I am a spirit of no common rate;
The summer still doth tend upon my state;
And I do love thee: therefore, go with me;
I'll give thee fairies to attend on thee,
And they shall fetch thee jewels from the deep,
And sing while thou on pressed flowers dost sleep;
And I will purge thy mortal grossness so
That thou shalt like an airy spirit go."

Mab, Queen of the Fairies, please grace us with your presence. Come join us
and be in our midst with troops and solitaires of your fairy court.

PUCK has ventured back agen:
Ridicule no more affrights him:
In the very haunts of men
Newer sport delights him. -

Capering lightly to and fro,
Ever frolicking and funning-
"Crack!" the mimic pistols go!
Hark! The noise is stunning! -

All too soon will Childhood gay
Realize Life's sober sadness.
Let's be merry while we may,
Innocent and happy Fay!
Elves were made for gladness! -

Embarassed Shame on me. I did not cite the author either. Thanks for reminding me Magesteff Embarassed

Oh yuck!
Looks like that faerie was a tad too slow...
Twisted Evil

As we look at the moon
Reminding us of a spoon
There is no reason to fear
It's only twilight drawing near
Stop your sobbing
Ttime for apple bobbing

Friends and countrymen
Oratorical acumen
Releases our wishes
Maybe sleeping with the fishes
Early wonders might cease
Remain lives will find peace
Light rays give us hope
You might like soap on a rope

Kindred spirits rise up
Numbers just don't add up
Owls cry in the night
Witches soon will take flight
No man may guess right

All our fears culminate
Standing waters stagnate

Portents speak of our doom
Really messy, this room
I expect that tonight
Certain beasties will light
Expecting this poem to make sense

{PLayer to Player interaction} False Titania

Titania wrote:
I come from a flower bud, that shapes my wing...
In the land the humans keep captive during the day.

This poem comes from Jacqueline Glover and can be found at:
http://www.foundus.com/faerie/Grover_poem.htm

I have spoken about copyright infringment in another thread so I won't re-hash all of that here.

However I do have some words for Titania:

Oh, Titania the faerie most quizzical,
Posted words like they were her original,
While all of my Rhyme,
may not be sublime,
At least I didn't copy books digital.

I'm not quite sure what the point of this thread is? This section is for CTW discussion, not A Midsummer Night's Dream discussion. So I'm locking this.
