[SOURCE] Sable + Shuck Soul Test Flash Files I've begun decompiling the Sable + Shuck flash files, and I'll list my findings here as I work. EDIT: At the advice of SpaceBass, My results are spoilerized for those who don't want to see info I've gotten through decompilation.
Here is what I've learned so far:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
- The bars on the right with +10, 0, and -10 mean nothing, since their flash files are named random_graph1.swf, random_graph2.swf, etc.
- The spiral tracing test does have rules that (appear to) have a rather large effect on the soul worth. Here is what I have been able to determine
- You must touch at least 35 of the points shown in the (linked) image below in order to get the "question" correct.
- If you do not touch 35 points, -5 is added to some number. (Still don't know what number or what effect it has on soul worth. The label of the variable is 'tmpWorth', btw). Likewise, if you do, 5 points are added.
- There is code to verify the validity of email addresses and phone numbers in the main soul worth page. I find this highly interesting.
- I'm learning more about how the soul worth is calculated. From what I can tell, you start at 50 and then you move up and down from there. And, even though it is known, the soul derivitave is the total worth divided by 1.6
Also, I feel I might be getting an email from the Director of Punitive Measures about this.....
More info will be coming later.
If you have any comments/questions, or want to know how I reached my conclusions in more detail, feel free to ask.

In short, it's an analysis of the appearance of Fibonacci-numbers and the golden section in nature, this image is called the Fibonacci spiral and appears, for example in all snail's shells and a lot of flowers.

I actually looked at this a few days ago, while bored, and found a few things as well.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
All the questions and answers are stored in an xml file on the server, and have three possible values, however, a given question can only give one of 2 of those values because they are yes/no. Some questions are weighted more than others so even if you take all the "good" answers every time, your score will be different.
Upon completion, three items are sent back to the server, a field called userid with an id that doesn't seem to be related to your login, a yes or no value for your answer to the media question, and your score. The derivative isn't sent. As of last night, all my submissions from taking the test returned a DB error which you could only see by capturing packets. I'm not sure if this means they aren't collecting scores yet or if it's just a temporary situation.
I'm currently at work so I can't really do any more poking around at the moment.

I don't know if this is better suited somewhere else, but I was wondering if anyone had compiled all the questions yet? Give somewhere to start in trying to garner that perfect score.
<<edit:>> nevermind, found it in this post [/b]

I found the that the first time I took the test I got a score of 61. I decided to try and get a higher score through a re-assessment. However, in the this re-assessment and all other subsequent re-assessments I took, my score dropped. Eventually my final score does not get over 15 or 16. No matter what answers I give.

I didnt know where else to post this so I'll stick it here.
I'm no master of flash, so I won't even attempt to decompile it, but why on earth is the Weather Map on http://www.hornchurchstar.com/weather_ok.php in a flash format? Why not a static image?
Can someone decompile this and see if there is anything of interest within it?

The weather map has some animations. Weather symbols appear on some regions. I'm not sure if there's a clue in the map, but you couldn't do the animations with a static image, maybe with an animated gif, but it would not look right. Anyways, the reason for it being flash is the animations...

I know all that, what I'm curious about is why they needed to animate it. They could easily have just had a static .jpg which would of done the same job.
Other than the lottery numbers there is nothing else on the site that is in a flash format.
It's deeply suspicious to me, especially after seeing the weather page on the screen of Jon Harkers laptop in the hidingroom.com
Am I the only one who thinks this?

To me, the weather map looks like a devil with a dollar sign grin.

Alright, I'll investigate the weather flash file. I'll also continue investigating the S&S Soul Test, I've just been really busy with school work lately and I haven't had time.

Just a thought...
I've read in another post that it isn't likely that we are able to get the highest score on the assesment... (yet...)
I like the idea, 'cause wel... it keeps us off track...
But I was trying the spiral agian, and so far, each time I've tried, my mouse went of the tabled.. this time i thought: if the mouse movement are backwards, why not doing the test backwards? when I tried this, I was able to follow the complete spiral... maybe this will help to get a higher score on the test?
Is this a complete illogical thought, or not?

I decompiled the weather flash animation myself and alas there is nothing of interest but I'm pretty sure it will be relevant at some point.
As for the Soul Worth Test, jeez that thing is crazy!
There is one component which seems to track your mouse co-ordinates on that spinning face thing that appears between sections.
And there also appears to be test mode, I'm not to hot at this decompiling malarky, and the script in the animation is a little too advanced for me....help!

that's sounds kinda similar to the flash quiz on the stella site - maybe there's something on the animation of the phrenological head model that could affect the score - any of you flash guys know whether it's possible to interact with it?
