[Halo 2] [INFO] Jukesbox.com -- recommended resource

Over on the HBO forum a very kind player going under the tag MrJukes posted a link to his site, with some very interesting (often surprising, and occasionally useful) videos on jump points and techniques for multiplayer maps.

For instance, I just found where there are two pistols hidden on Lockout that may come in handy... but only if you know how to grenade jump.

Have a look for yourselves.

-- Steve thinks you'll at least enjoy seeing some of the places you can reach. And how.

I don't think they require a grenade jump to get to

Yeah, if they're the same two magnums that I'm thinking of, they only require the ability to walk, and to fall short distances. Smile

yup, you can fall on top of them from either side of the upper level of the lift.

Very informative clips by the way, I need to try some of that stuff out. Though being able to do it in a practice session and pulling the same jumps off while holding a flag and running from 8 bloodthirsty enemies are different things entirely.

I was all excited about new pistol spots, but alas, they were the ones I already knew about.

I loves me some magnums. Thanks for the great link, Steve!

Oh. Drat. Never thought of coming at them from the top. Well, they're new to me, anyway. Not that I'll ever go for them.

-- Steve's the kind of guy who'd try, and either blast himself into a greasy spot on the wall or catapult himself right over the wall and into the surrounding abyss.

Oh no, they're totally easy to get to, Steve. No danger of falling to your death (relatively speaking) where those magnums are. Seriously. That's why he called them "Pointless" grenade jumps. They were truly, truly pointless.

Ah. Okay. I'll probably still find a way to get killed going for them. I'm just that kind of player. Wink I can throw a frag grenade at someone, miss, skip off two walls, and have it land back in my lap just at boom-time. Trust me.

(I'm embarassed at the number of suicide stickies I pulled in single player. Yet it's a hillarious form of embarassment.)

The vids ARE nifty, though, even if there aren't that many parts that are useful. Apparently, they've been mentioned on bungie.net though the work firewall (spit) won't let me verify that.

-- Steve is shocked, SHOCKED, to find pointless explosions in Halo 2 multiplayer. (Your grenades, sir.) Thank you.
