It may be even more simple than that. It is certainly a 2D barcode (the Data Matrix or CiMatrix, to be specific), but may not be a particular practical implementation/application of such (like that Semacode).

Unfortunately, most of my reference material (collected for that White Spider "ARG" last year) is mostly on plain 1D barcodes, but I will see what I can make of it. Of interest, there is an online Data Matrix barcode generator to play around with.

Helloworld could be a reference to The Hello World project (www.helloworldproject.com). The project was executed last night in NYC, Geneva, Mumbai, and Rio de Janeiro at the UN buildings in the respective cities. Check out the website- I think that possibly a message with a clue in it was submitted. We'll have to search the archive for the clue since we missed it last night.

Hm. Not sure how relevant this is, but...

One of the phones that semacode reader is available for is the Sony Ericsson p9xx series.

The first screen we saw at project syzygy had a picture of a Mac, a volume control knob, the post it with the pattern recognition ISBN - and a Sony Ericsson P900/P910.

Makes me wonder if we're going to see more of these that we're mean't to decode whilst on the move.

Can anyone make out the text running vertically down the center of the back? "Despite heightened security, Academy tours are still running twice daily from [something] twelve. Advance booking [something]."

I thought bout that to and came to the conclusion that it wasn't exactly a hack, and if he didn't want us to find it Adrian could have taken it of easily.

Plus theres no certainty this helps us in anyway Wink

have any of you tried to go to the forum on the helloworldproject website....for some reason it is down, or something of the sort...the page label becomes "DaemonOptik has u!!!" which is pretty weird, and if you look at the source code of the page, some of the javascript thats supposed to run is hosted at geocities???? It may be that my comp/browser is screwed up..can someone check to see if you get the same result...and if so..what does it mean.

what about the "hello world" reference? Is there something to that hello world project? I'm having trouble getting the archive page. anyone else have any luck?

also what about this :

Quote:
HelloWorld is a term for any simple program or component that verifies the correct functioning of the environment, usually by outputting the words "Hello World''.

more can be found here: http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?HelloWorld

edit: yeah I get the #DaemonOptik thingee too.. a search of that looks like its some kind of (edit) "anti war" hacker group or something?? Shocked

ps... I wanna find a postcard Bang Head
