[Possible ARG?]White Noise

I saw a commercial today for a movie coming out soon called, "White Noise." (I should have been asleep for work tonight, but that's besides the point.)

The movie contained a link to http://www.aaevp.com, a site dealing with movie subject matter. Furthermore, the site for the movie (http://www.whitenoise.com) has both this site and a site called http://www.alienandspirit.com listed as partners.

I see nothing readily overt, but my suspicions are raised. In particular, there's a lot of room for content on AlienandSpirit.com.

So...do I need to catch up on sleep, or...?

Edit- The site you have listed as the official movie site is weird... The official movie site according to the trailer is http://www.whitenoisemovie.com

The trailer that can be seen on television shows the site www.aaevp.com.
Above the URL it says something along the lines of, "To learn more about EVP, go to www.aaevp.com."

Also, on the whitenoisemovie.com site, there are some forums. I found this cryptic message there.

I'm digging through their forum area. It seems there are a lot of posts and topics that are set to hidden. For example, there's a user named "paul" who's written eleven posts, none of which are shown. There are also seven topics listed in one forum, but only one showing.

From the looks of the join dates, the start date of the forums was August 2004.

ghost in the machine

I don't know. People do actually believe this EVP stuff and it runs pretty rampant on the net with the whole Art Bell crowd. I don't see an ARG yet, but that doesn't mean one isn't on the way.

Punch EVP into google and see what you get.
If you can find a site that actaully posts the "messages" from the dead check it out. They're pretty freaky.[/url]

It could be a ARG, but it doesn't seem it at all. But i do agree this would be a great ARG.

Just so you know. This movie is GARBAGE. I watched it tonight unfortunately, and I have never regretted spending $7.50 on anything more in my life. For god's sake, the trailer is ten times scarier than the movie! It did have a couple decent scares, but overall it sucked. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS MOVIE!

That's too bad Sad I was hoping Keaton would come out with something good to bring him back in the business.

Dark Water looks good and creapy. And like The Ring it is a remake of a Japanese horror flick

Yeah, I first read about the original on the Ring message board a couple of years ago, and they said it was really good. I'd been looking off and on for an English-subbed version of the DVD. At this point I think I'll wait until the US version comes out, so I won't spoil any surprised.

I found Ghostwatch, a mockumentary aired several years ago on BBC, kinda pleasantly creepy. It's for sale on Amazon (maybe Amazon UK, can't remember now).

i love japanese horror. dark water is a v good film, its typical japanese as apposed to the typical show-them-some-thing-gory-and-scare-'um train of though hollywood always runs with.
