MayorAdamWest87 (1:41:32 PM): Who are you
OhVerisimilitude (1:41:42 PM): Hello.
OhVerisimilitude (1:41:44 PM): I am Sachchit.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:41:51 PM): Oh..
MayorAdamWest87 (1:42:06 PM): My friend told me about that.. ARG game... The Matrix is Real or something..
MayorAdamWest87 (1:42:13 PM): Do you know anything about it
OhVerisimilitude (1:42:19 PM): Yes.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:42:41 PM): Oh... Can you direct me to a site.. or anything to check it out?
OhVerisimilitude (1:42:52 PM): http://www.thematrixisreal.com
MayorAdamWest87 (1:42:59 PM): Thank you..
OhVerisimilitude (1:43:08 PM): You are welcome.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:43:17 PM): They don't have any of those weird screamers, do they?
MayorAdamWest87 (1:43:26 PM): Ya know, when they flash a scary picture, and a loud scream?
OhVerisimilitude (1:43:33 PM): No.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:43:36 PM): Ok, thanks.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:44:10 PM): Is this like a puzzle?
OhVerisimilitude (1:44:18 PM): Parts of it, yes.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:44:28 PM): Oh ok..
MayorAdamWest87 (1:44:30 PM): Kinda weird
OhVerisimilitude (1:44:36 PM): Indeed.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:44:56 PM): So, do you run this or something?
OhVerisimilitude (1:45:08 PM): Yes.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:45:13 PM): Awesome..
MayorAdamWest87 (1:45:18 PM): Do you do a alot of flash?
OhVerisimilitude (1:45:35 PM): Some parts are Flash, yes.
OhVerisimilitude (1:45:45 PM): Some parts are pure PHP, and some are plain HTML.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:45:58 PM): Oh, cool. I try to do flash.. I fail miserably though..
MayorAdamWest87 (1:46:01 PM): PHP baffles me..
MayorAdamWest87 (1:46:09 PM): I know a decent amount of HTML though
MayorAdamWest87 (1:46:21 PM): Am I allowed to ask questions about this thing?
OhVerisimilitude (1:46:33 PM): Feel free to ask anything, just know that I am free to answer anything.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:46:46 PM): Ah, ok.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:47:11 PM): Is there any correlation between the spinning numbers, and the letters that flash with each number?
OhVerisimilitude (1:47:46 PM): Perhaps. Perhaps not. Smile
MayorAdamWest87 (1:47:55 PM): I like these things..
OhVerisimilitude (1:48:09 PM): It is not yet half begun.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:48:15 PM): "If you aim at.. ruth?... you will find... expressing"
MayorAdamWest87 (1:48:18 PM): Or something..
MayorAdamWest87 (1:48:36 PM): truth
OhVerisimilitude (1:48:58 PM): It was the early calling card to give people this screen name. It says "If you aim at truth, you may find yourself expressing "Oh Verisimilitude" ... Most people do not find me that way anymore, as you obviously did not.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:49:18 PM): Ahh ok..
MayorAdamWest87 (1:49:36 PM): I see it now.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:50:24 PM): Ahh, Swish, a grand program..
MayorAdamWest87 (1:50:33 PM): Unfortunately, now that I switched to Linux.. I cannot use flash.
OhVerisimilitude (1:50:44 PM): Swish is used at parts. It is quite easy.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:50:54 PM): Yeah, flash made easy.
OhVerisimilitude (1:51:21 PM): It removes a lot of the mundane tasks in what I need to do.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:51:50 PM): yeah.. I find that tweening doesn't always work right.. Swish helps a lot, especially for effects
OhVerisimilitude (1:51:58 PM): Yes.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:53:06 PM): I notice sometimes, a text coursor appears.. but I cannot find any text with a select all function, or copy and paste..
MayorAdamWest87 (1:53:11 PM): Around the page, that is.
OhVerisimilitude (1:53:21 PM): Ok.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:53:44 PM): Am I bothering you, by the way? I am sure you get this a lot
OhVerisimilitude (1:53:51 PM): No you're not at all.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:54:00 PM): Oh ok.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:54:52 PM): I've never been heavily into the matrix series.. Would that help with this? I've seen the movies.. but I am not very smart on the whole subject..
OhVerisimilitude (1:55:45 PM): You do not have to be.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:55:52 PM): Oh, ok.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:56:16 PM): So.. are you a person? I know your not a bot..
MayorAdamWest87 (1:56:21 PM): you're
OhVerisimilitude (1:56:27 PM): I am a human.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:56:37 PM): Ah..
MayorAdamWest87 (1:56:44 PM): Male or female? If I may ask
OhVerisimilitude (1:56:50 PM): Male.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:57:18 PM): Hmm, does your AIM name have anything to do with this puzzle?
OhVerisimilitude (1:57:44 PM): At times, yes.
OhVerisimilitude (1:57:53 PM): And it depends on how you approach it, I suppose.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:58:30 PM): Appearance of being true..
OhVerisimilitude (1:59:15 PM): Indeed.
MayorAdamWest87 (1:59:57 PM): Hmm..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:00:02 PM): Do you know what "the1.no-ip.com" is?
OhVerisimilitude (2:00:07 PM): Yes.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:00:22 PM): Can you explain it? I've heard about it, but... I can't get it to load
OhVerisimilitude (2:00:56 PM): At different times it is available. It is a part of phase 6.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:01:08 PM): Ahhh
MayorAdamWest87 (2:01:13 PM): So it is your site?
OhVerisimilitude (2:01:54 PM): It is a part of thematrixisreal.com, but the domain is not owned by me.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:02:02 PM): Oh..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:02:06 PM): Are you working on this alone?
OhVerisimilitude (2:02:23 PM): Yes.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:02:52 PM): Hmm, I just found the http://www.thematrixisreal.com/emailme.htm page..
OhVerisimilitude (2:02:58 PM): Ok.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:02:59 PM): What is the riddle? If you can say..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:03:04 PM): Or where can I find it..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:03:19 PM): I notice the swf has a lot to do with playing with the back, forward, play, etc buttons.
OhVerisimilitude (2:03:36 PM): It is a part of phase 6, and it is not currently posted. It will be back. I'm sure that if you search around on the internet you'll see it posted somewhere.
OhVerisimilitude (2:03:54 PM): No, it is designed with having you have to right click.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:04:03 PM): Ah ok.
OhVerisimilitude (2:04:11 PM): *with not having you
MayorAdamWest87 (2:04:24 PM): Oh, that makes more sense..
OhVerisimilitude (2:04:27 PM): Smile
MayorAdamWest87 (2:04:35 PM): Which phase are you in now, might I ask?
OhVerisimilitude (2:05:01 PM): Phase 5 was recently begun. Phases 6 and 7 are still active. Phase 7 is static, phase 6 is variable, and phase 5 is dynamic.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:05:34 PM): Forest Entrance.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:05:50 PM): And a form..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:06:20 PM): Do you know Morse Code/
OhVerisimilitude (2:06:27 PM): Yes.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:06:30 PM): Morse Code*
MayorAdamWest87 (2:06:33 PM): You do..
OhVerisimilitude (2:06:41 PM): Yes.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:06:51 PM): Hmm...
MayorAdamWest87 (2:06:58 PM): I am reading a forum.. kind of interesting.
OhVerisimilitude (2:07:35 PM): Ok.
OhVerisimilitude (2:07:38 PM): I must go for a few moments. When I return I will be able to read anything you may have typed.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:08:02 PM): Ok, I'll most likely be here. Thanks for your time and help.
OhVerisimilitude (2:10:54 PM): I am back.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:11:03 PM): Hello again.
OhVerisimilitude (2:11:08 PM): Hello.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:11:25 PM): This is quite interesting..
OhVerisimilitude (2:11:35 PM): I agree.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:11:44 PM): I am in a bedroom.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:11:57 PM): And things turn colors..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:12:05 PM): But, I think I am looking for the wrong thing..
OhVerisimilitude (2:12:09 PM): Ok.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:12:11 PM): It's probably not on the site..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:12:24 PM): Sorry for thinking aloud, by the way..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:12:29 PM): Helps me organize..
OhVerisimilitude (2:12:34 PM): No apology is necessary.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:13:38 PM): May I ask what operating system you use?
OhVerisimilitude (2:14:20 PM): I personally use Windows XP, Mac OS X 10.3.5, and Linux. The webpage is on a Windows server.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:15:15 PM): Ah, I like that.. Diversity..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:15:29 PM): Always use the best... Linux for Servers... Macs for Graphics..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:15:34 PM): Windows.. for solitaire...
MayorAdamWest87 (2:15:36 PM): Smile
OhVerisimilitude (2:15:40 PM): I see.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:15:43 PM): How about and IM client?
MayorAdamWest87 (2:15:51 PM): Do you stick with AIM, or...
OhVerisimilitude (2:16:05 PM): This is the second time I've used AIM in a while.
OhVerisimilitude (2:16:12 PM): I have a custom program that I normally use.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:16:22 PM): Wow, you developed an IM client?
MayorAdamWest87 (2:16:34 PM): That is very advanced..
OhVerisimilitude (2:16:52 PM): Stick around a while. You'll see other things that may be interesting if you like programming.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:17:03 PM): Ah..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:17:22 PM): By the way, I know it is improbable, but all this is safe, right?
MayorAdamWest87 (2:17:36 PM): I mean..
OhVerisimilitude (2:18:09 PM): Perhaps you could explain what you mean?
MayorAdamWest87 (2:18:38 PM): Well.. I mean, I know this is a game.. But, I know A R G's can.. get strange..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:18:51 PM): And.. I am not quite sure how to explain it..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:19:09 PM): I've never participated in one of these, but..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:19:18 PM): When I think of a way to explain it, I will.
OhVerisimilitude (2:19:23 PM): Some choose to see it as a game, and I suppose that works well for them. I am a seeker of truth. I am on a journey that has become more interesting as the days go by.
OhVerisimilitude (2:19:43 PM): I assure you I am of no ill will.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:19:48 PM): Oh, ok.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:20:15 PM): That's all I was wondering.. Some people take stuff like this a little to far.. Smile I didn't mean any offense, I just.. didn't know..
OhVerisimilitude (2:20:28 PM): No offense taken.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:20:43 PM): Just as an example, people who play D and D with real weapons, and stuff like that..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:20:56 PM): Take things too far..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:21:05 PM): But if you mean no ill will, then..
MayorAdamWest87 (2:21:14 PM): I have no idea what I am talking about anymore.
OhVerisimilitude (2:21:36 PM): I see what you mean. I do not have plans to ask people to do anything, nor do I intend to ever meet anyone or arrange a meeting between the people who are participating in this website.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:21:57 PM): Ah, ok. I just don't know how these things work.
MayorAdamWest87 (2:22:03 PM): Well, I must be going for a while.
OhVerisimilitude (2:22:08 PM): Alright.
OhVerisimilitude (2:22:10 PM): Until next time,
OhVerisimilitude (2:22:13 PM): Toodle-oo! Smile
MayorAdamWest87 (2:22:17 PM): I will talk to you later.
OhVerisimilitude (2:22:22 PM): Ok.

Just had another conversation with OV. Answered some questions I had.

And according to him, the password login is -not- part of the game.

Selina could also be saying that this site is not a game site.

For a brief time on the 22nd, this was posted on the site. It's only part of the message that was there. I didn't copy it all at the time because I thought it would be up for a while, and I wanted to post at TMC what I thought was the most important bit, but later that same day the site was locked. It has since been freed up again, but based on the content of what had been posted, I'm assuming that it really is not a game.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
...I am a Christian male, and to me that means I believe the Holy Bible is the inerrant Word of God. The Holy Bible is inerrant, not me. Not you, not the pastor on TV. We all mayke typos. We all make mistakes. What being a Christian means to me is that I won't have a perfect body until I reach Heaven, but while I am still here on Earth I can know a measure beyond my comprehension of God's perfect love. Despite all the treachery and wickedness in this day and age I know that there is a God above who watches all things and all people and sees all that goes on whether it is behind closed doors or if it is in the full light of day. I know that I am secure in my life here and in my next life. That's what I mean when I say I'm a Christian.

This website is not a full-out evangelizing attempt, but if you are curious as to what the Bible says about certain issues, I am willing to share what I have found to be true, or if you have other questions related to God, Jesus, faith, and religion...

When asked if this was a game, OV said that some people looked at it that way and said it was okay if they did.

Either way, the website has shown attributes to a typical ARG. If you think its a game, fine. If you don't think its a game, fine too. Just remember what the topic of this thread section is and that this is an ARG message board system. You can't say that there hasn't been several puzzles on the site.

Crisko, I'm well aware of the thread topic. I'm also well aware that the whole matrixisreal.com discussion here at unforums was begun in the first place by a fellow TMC member who started the original thread here (following the appearance of a thread at TMC about the site) to bring it to your members' attention and question if the site might be a trailhead.

I feel that while ARG-like attibutes may have been used by the site originator, the playing out of an ARG is not not his main purpose. Personally I think the game-like components are being used as hooks to capture interest.

Based on his comments that I posted above, I feel he has an ulterior motive in trying to keep peeps going there.

If you still want to continue, knowing what he has said, that's entirely up to you. I felt, though, that peeps should have access to what he bluntly stated as his reason for starting the site, so they could make up their own minds about whether to continue with it or not.

That's great and I have nothing against what you say, but I'm not persuing this in the attempt to get to the destination, but simply for the journey there. I'm in no need of an ultimate celestial truth. I remember reading what you've quoted from iverilyquote.html. I did take it serously but that didn't change the way I am involving myself in this.

To me, this is a game. Whenever I believe that changes, I'll simply walk away. There's a lot of other games out there I could be playing, I'm just taking a particular interest to this one.

game or no game, he has a purpose:

dizzorck: hey
ohverisimilitude: Hello.
dizzorck: long time no talk
ohverisimilitude: Indeed.
dizzorck: i see the site is updated
ohverisimilitude: Yes.
dizzorck: i figured out a few passwords
ohverisimilitude: I see.
dizzorck: is there more?
ohverisimilitude: Absolutely.
dizzorck: i guess it's encoded within the deeper pages, huh?
ohverisimilitude: Perhaps. Perhaps not.
dizzorck: hmm
dizzorck: can u give me a hint?
ohverisimilitude: I would prefer to let people figure it out on their own.
dizzorck: yea i'm not telling anyone how to access the other parts
ohverisimilitude: Alright.
dizzorck: i told them that i did, but not how i did it
ohverisimilitude: Ok.
dizzorck: so i guess each letter is a different door huh?
ohverisimilitude: Yes.
dizzorck: people are organizing teams and setting up new websites to figure this all out
ohverisimilitude: Interesting.
dizzorck: indeed Smile
dizzorck: has anyone else figured out how to ge tpast the passwords?
ohverisimilitude: Not as of yet.
dizzorck: cool
dizzorck: after door "m", what should i do?
ohverisimilitude: Answer the question, if you like.
dizzorck: how?
ohverisimilitude: Smile
dizzorck: i'm gonna figure it out
ohverisimilitude: Alright.
dizzorck: the war you talk about- i see it too
ohverisimilitude: Oh?
dizzorck: well, yea... it's getting worse
ohverisimilitude: It has all been foretold.
dizzorck: by who?
ohverisimilitude: There are many passages in the Bible that speak of what is to come, and how it is to happen.
dizzorck: you really believe that bible stuff, huh?
ohverisimilitude: Yes.
dizzorck: well, i don't know what it all means, but it's a good book to live life by... i mean, how do you know it's all true?
ohverisimilitude: Have you read it?
dizzorck: portions of it... i read the whole book of psalms and its the biggest book in the bible... if anything, i definitely see that God exists, but he doesn't seem to be around anymore
ohverisimilitude: The book of Psalms seems to portray the nature of God so well. Perhaps you would do well reading the New Testament, starting with Matthew and going all the way through. You won't understand all of it (nobody does), but it will give you a better understanding of what it's all about.
dizzorck: that's a lot of reading lol
dizzorck: i might do that though, because the old testament is so boring
ohverisimilitude: There are many wonderful stories and lessons in the Old Testament. It is difficult, though, for some people to understand that back then, we, as humans, were in what's called a dispensation of law. After Jesus Christ came, we are now in a dispensation of grace. Soon there will be what's called the Kingdom dispensation, and that is when all the believers in Christ are taken up to Heaven to be with God.
dizzorck: are you a preacher?
ohverisimilitude: I'm a student who enjoys sharing what I know, and you happen to be asking questions about my favorite topic.
dizzorck: do people ever get mad at you?
dizzorck: like, for evangalizing?
ohverisimilitude: Not really, because I generally have not spoken much about it unless someone asks a question that requires me to.
ohverisimilitude: Though, there are more than one that have become irate at the notion that God loves them.
dizzorck: why?
ohverisimilitude: I think it's more because people don't understand that you can know something to be so true that it will never change, such as the Word of God.
dizzorck: o
dizzorck: so, is this all about God?
ohverisimilitude: Everything is. May I share a passage from scripture with you?
dizzorck: definiteyl
ohverisimilitude: The passage is Hebrews 2:10-13. It speaks of how everything is for God, and that we, as humans, are thought of as brothers if we accept His gift of salvation. This does not mean that we will have supernatural powers, but it does not mean that we will not be used by God in supernatural ways.
ohverisimilitude: Here is a link to the chapter: (Link: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=65&chapter=2&version=51&context=chapter)http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=65&chapter=2&version=51&context=chapter
ohverisimilitude: The whole book is good.
dizzorck: so if God made everything, did he make sin?
ohverisimilitude: He made us so that we can choose to worship Him in any way we chose, but it is when we choose to not acknowledge Him that we enter into sin. Sin is going against God's will. It's not something created, it's an action.
dizzorck: oh that really makes sense... i never heard it like that before
dizzorck: hey i gott run but it was good talking to ya
dizzorck: do u mind if i post this conversation?
ohverisimilitude: The choice is, as always, yours.
ohverisimilitude: I would only hope that you don't take excerpts out of context. Please include your questions with the answers.
dizzorck: of course! i'm gonna post the whole thing
dizzorck: ok ttyl
ohverisimilitude: Until next time,
ohverisimilitude: Toodle-oo! Smile
