Turning speed is critical

Yep. But accuracy is as critical, if not more! If you just can't keep your accuracy at reasonable levels, you won't fare well!

If you can get used to sensitivity 10 and be effective with it, you'll be a better player. But that's not always the case for everybody.

Well, given that my accuracy is crap and my look sensitivity is 2, I can't imagine turning the damn thing up will help me any.

...would it?

You can try. Maybe you find that your accuracy will not suffer from the increased sensitivity. And even increase the longer you play with it. Just give it a try and see what you think. Just keep in mind that it does take a while to get used to it.

Man, I think that the default is like 3 or 5 or something, so you must've turned yours down Laughing I think that it will probably help you to turn you sensitivity up. This way you can actually keep up with the person that is shooting at you, instead of being one step behind shooting his shadow.

I think at that sensitivity it'd be faster to go 'round the horn.

I couldn't agree more. There's no remedy better, when you've gotten killed in a way that would normally be stupid and make you angry, than to hear Angelo running around a floor above you yelling "Gimme back my damn sword!"

HEY! It was mine first... <pouts>

I am curious to know, though, if some of the better slayer players (Waters, Thunderclap 8, Eclipse, Angelo) have higher look sensitivities. I have been experimenting at level 7 because I found myself unable to keep up with others during a dance of death. Because of this, I find myself much better on the objective games than on slayer. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

I use a level 7 right now, and I fair pretty well in both arenas. I do quite a bit of sniping and find that the increased sensitivity doesn't harm my ability. Just takes a bit of practice to subtly tap the sight into position.

Another funtastic evening with the beekeepers. I need to apologize to my team in the slayer matches, though. I have been working on trying to up my look sensitivity and with the cold last night I think it just produced a bunch of random shooting due to shivering. No excuses, though, since I'm sure everyone was feeling the effects of winter. I am curious to know, though, if some of the better slayer players (Waters, Thunderclap 8, Eclipse, Angelo) have higher look sensitivities. I use level 5. It's fairly middle of the road, but there have been times where I've wanted it a bit higher. Sniping is easier in this game, so I probably could go higher if I wanted.

Just up it, play around in campaign for a while to get used to it, and then go forth into the world.

I don't remember changing my sensitivity so I guess I must just use the default Smile

Now that SuperDunner has gone off X-Box Live, can we please get back to the status quo, where red beats blue? I can't keep staying up this late, just to get beaten by a team half our size.

SuperDunner is a beast with that shotgun!! I'll miss him, but not his shotgun days! Laughing

I was so used to "silent Phaedra" that it was a big surprise to hear her screaming everytime I would kill her! She was as vocal as Krystyn, but without the "crap/shit" that Krystyn says once in a while! Laughing

I wish I could speak while dead! The funniest moment yesterday was in that Zanzibar match. I was shooting Phaedra close range with a shotgun (for the 10th time, I know), but I think she had one too, cause she killed me with one shot! As soon as she kills me and I could hear some type of cellebration, a ghost comes flying by splattering her!!! Laughing I got credit for the kill, but that was clearly a betrayal! Krystyn, was that you??

OK, helpful tidbit: when switching to matchmaking after playing with a bunch of newbies (Water's Brazilian friends) and having your handicap set to maximum REMEMBER TO TURN YOUR HANDICAP OFF! Embarassed That might have helped us actually win that first match.

That was not me!

Heh, I swear I am not too much of a pottymouth, but last night? Every time I re-spawned, I'd be in a cluster of the enemy. Bam, dead again. Couple that with some really sucky playing on my part, and my stats were abysmal.

OK, and the facehole game that Nova started, I was talking with angelo on the phone cos his XBox just up and died - no reason. It just turned itself off. vidstudent finally found where I was standing in the middle of Foundation, but it was sort of fun to be sort of out in the open and completely vulnerable, and yet it took several minutes for anyone to really wander into the lower middle portion of the map. Smile

There was a game of Zanzibar where I played through the first two points we scored, and I think that was when angelo called, and so I sort of stood there, not doing anything, until I propped my cell better, ran into the power station, grabbed the flag, and got it far enough that Nova was able to grab it and bring it home. That was fun to see - I wish I'd been able to have my headset turned up and mic on for that. Smile As it was, it was surreal and bereft of the voices I have come to know and love (even as they kill me).

I did enjoy I think the first part of that game where I sniped two out of three warthog occupants, and then vidstudent VERY SNEAKILY tried to creep up on me, and I sniped him right in the face! Ha! That ruled. It made me feel better about all the other dumb stuff I'd been doing all night.

Super Dunner, we will miss you. Please try and come back someday. Not kidding! We need to do our silly bopping dance some more!

Yeah... It took me dying and spawning (for the third time?!) to realize that I was starting with half shields.
