[EMAIL/PUZZLE] 21/12 Jon regarding Hiding Room

Just got Mail from Jon...

Quote:
Congratulations, you have solved at least part of the hiding room and proved yourself to be a worthy ally in the fight against the man in black.

You should be able to discover more in my updated journal. Be advised, ibidem is not sufficient, for it leads to as much error as truth (although mistakes can be extremely revealing).

The new cache password should be easy for any of my old friends and Lepidoptera protectors to work out.

Mutatis mutandis

Me too.

The old password still works however. So there must be clues in the mistakes. Someone already posted date errors. Is there a year when the dates in the journal would be correct? Other errors perhaps? Spelling? Word Usage?

Mutatis Mutandis.

From the game environment mutatis mutandis.. thanx to google for the search.

The phrase Mutatis Mutandis is Latin and means "that having been changed which had to be changed" or more commonly, "with the necessary changes".

Following my initial analysis of your assessment, it is my duty to inform you
that you have not yet achieved an acceptable worth value. Until you reach such a
level, we are unable to issue a contract and are thus unable to furnish you with
any luxurious goods or services.

However, you are permitted to take the test as many times as you wish. Perhaps
you should answer more honestly next time. Furthermore, you may be pleased to
know that a charitable act may also increase your worth. If you wish to
undertake such an act we advise you to visit http://www.helpmefindjon.com

Note: Sable & Shuck reserve the right to terminate proceedings at any stage
prior to the signing of the contract. Whilst the assessment tool is not
infallible, Sable & Shuck's collective judgement is beyond any error.

Figuur, this has been posted in a separate topic, this one is for discussion of Jon's email about The Hiding Room only and this way it will keep the forum tidy and easy to read.

Please use Search before posting, and keep different iinformation separate.

Not too much new information. He only confirms our previous thoughts that he took the book from the Hilbert hotel. That's about it. He might be off for the holiday I guess.

Its a bit of a disappointment... looks like no new information for a bit.

How I found it:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I found it via the August 14th cache entries' useful link. Was that link even there before today? Turns out the crossword was good for something...

I'm impressed - but I don't see how the link has anything to do with the crossword - good play... cuz I can't see it.

I would think, though, that the new entry, "I really hope my allies understand the difference that I've made" has some sort of meaning....?
