well, obviously they can, I mean, it's in the game, so there has to be a way they do it Wink

Wait what? I thought it was agreed that the sword uses energy not plasma. Hence the "energy sword" name. I dont believe the covenant have the ability to create a melee weapon out of plasma.

If it says somewhere that its ALSO called a Plasma sword, let me know, but as far as I know, its only referred to as an "Energy sword", which I would take to mean 'Non-plasma'.

It's called the energy sword, but considering that the Covenant can both shape and guide plasma, why would it be so hard to conceive that they could also have a plasma sword? I mean, their ships do travel faster than light (better than ours did), and they also had energy shields for the Elites and their spacecraft.

If they can shape energy into a sword then why not a plasma sword? How feasible would a plasma sword be though? What kind or size of energy source would a plasma sword need? Could it be self powered by the plasma?

Yeah, okay. I'm wrong I guess! At least I can admit it!

According to the Special Edition manuel from Halo 2 (the one from the Covenant perspective), it says "inspires fear in those who face its elegant plasma blade".

Ppppptthhhhhh. Damnit. Oh well, it still seems strange to me how they can make it never overheat Smile

/me goes and sits in corner.
