I just checked my email and received an interesting email with a new website:

The new site contains some information about the Alien Abduction of Children. Note how they "disappear" corresponds to what was said in the Research chat yesterday. Also, the whois says it was registered on 12/22. And the game begins!

Also, for that number on the end of the email...

 		heh i junked it as spam as well...

thanks for the heads up! upon closer look it does definitely appear to be IG. Unless the customer # can be decoded to anything though, I don't see any puzzles to follow until the media update on the 31st.

Our first assignment maybe? A sample size of four doesn't give us much to work with. The children are of different ages, the circumstances of disappearance appear differ (indoor/outdoor), although I'm not counting the fact that they were just out of sight for a split second before they vanished. Dates of abduction don't appear to make a pattern, either.

Is there perhaps a geographic connection we're not seeing? What does Hattiesburg, MS and Monticello, UT have in common with Chicago and New York City?

 		anyone tried plotting the points on a map? or analyzing gps info of the cities maybe? I'm at work right now but will try when I get home.

I've tried plotting the points on a US map and nothing really stands out except for a really big triangle. Maybe also the fact that Chicago appears to lie directly straight above Hattiesburg. But like I said, nothing obvious at least.

What about landmarks, points of interest etc in common with the cities?

A (cursory) Google search of all those cities turns up nothing of significance, save all apparently have an Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority chapter in a local college. Except in Utah. Don't find many frats/sororities in Utah, I would expect.

Useful for OoG, but not for this ARG.

 		ya I think the fact we all seemed to have received this email is a good hint that it might be IG... strange connection though... and ya, I considered it spam too... it's been resurrected and is now sitting in my pandora box Smile

I'm research and I got nothing so far.
I tried plotting the points, searching the names and examining the dates.
I followed along the whole alien abduction theme and searched for UFO sightings in the areas during the dates provided and still nothing.

Along the same line as:
