[SPAM] Spam or rabbit hole?

Hey Guys,
I know it's been awhile but things have been crazy with school and I was in a car accident a month ago so I'm not able to sit at the computer much.

Anyhow, I received a weird email this morning, sent to me last night by mutiny.ridgeSPLATgmail.com, subject: Forum notify. The text simply said: "Find the white rabbit." (extra space in there in the original). There is a file attached called Gift.pif but it appears to have a the bagel virus, so I don't know if this is just coincidental spam, spam/virus directed at me personally, or a real message and the sender just happens to have a virus and doesn't know it.

Would appreciate your input. I suspect it's just spam, but it was a good excuse to post something here Smile

Thanks!
D-

PS. Merry Christmas!!!

...btw, "<random_password_for_the_zip_archive>" is a password for archive

Doesn't look like the virus sent it.

Hmm. not sure how much a rampant .Pif could do to a computer, really. Good thing I run Mac, I probably would have opened it on sight.

Exited about getting a virus or a rabbit hole? Because I would think it is the latter. Just grab the patch for the virus and open it.
