"Which side will you choose"

Pam received a message from Mythosphere
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=11547#11547

and y2kbozo found two new links at Mythosphere:

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=11548#11548
Which give us two new ciphers to solve.

http://www.mythosphere.org/left1.html
http://www.mythosphere.org/right1.html

Both pages are titled "prelude to the tree of myth"
and want a reply with exactly what is found. One for initatesblue and one for initiatesred.
Which one will you choose?

Re: "Which side will you choose"

The initiatesblue and initiatesred refer to the red team and blue team created from mythosphere earlier in the game. I'm blue, if i recall correctly.

The blue grid (i think) translates to:
Code:
C N F L L T H E R E
 I S M E C N C N G S
E Y G N D T H E M Y
T H D E N E T E R E
T H E N C U R E N U
S H E R N E S A G E
U S H E F E F R T E
M I S G A E E N U S

However, there could be mistakes, since i was going for speed and guessed on some symbols.

I'm working on the red now, then i'll come back and see if i missed any.

OK, i think the red grid is:

Code:
C N F L L T H E R E
I S M E C N C N G S
E Y G N D T H E M Y
T H T H G R F E S T
I C N E P N C N G D
I N J G R D V I L C
S R E G I P C F N T

You have a few mistakes in there, the first 3 lines of both grids are as follows (using the same translation as the original grid puzzle):

I N A L L T H E R E
I S M E A N I N G B
E Y O N D T H E M Y
T H

or "in all there is meaning beyond the myth"

The rest of the 2 grids are different, cant make sense of them at first glance. I won't have time today to work on this further. You guys have fun!!! Very Happy

Blue Message

In all there is meaning beyond the myth Demeter Athena Uranus Hermes Coeus Hebe Artemis Oceanus

I did this quickly, so someone may want to double check my work.

Left1 and Right1

The two grids are different after a point - so expect two different phrases.

Noticed that the 'tell us' for red (left1) is colored blue, and the 'tell us' for blue (right1) is colored red.

Uhm. You got them reversed..
Initiatesred have a red tell me (right), and Initiatesblue have a blue tell me (left).

OK, I got the Red message:

In all there is some meaning beyond the myth Bestia Magni Modi Njord Vili Bragi Giant

These are all Norse gods. Dia's were all Greek gods.

Diandra found this page:

http://www.mythosphere.org/treeofmyths.html

From the page titles which talked about the "Tree of Myths."

On this page, there is a flash thing with the family trees of Greek and Norse gods, which are talked about in the red and blue messages.

Actually, gods and goddesses. (What do you have against us women? Very Happy )

Greek:
Athena - was the Goddess of war and craft (excerpt from Tree of Myths)

Hebe was the wife of the fabled Herakles (Hercules) of Olympus and the goddess of youth (excerpt from Tree of Myths)

Norse:
Bestia: The Frost Giantess Bestia or Bestia, married the son of Buri, Bor and gave birth to the three Gods; Odin, Vili and Ve. (Excerpt from Tree of Myths)

To the PMs:

Maybe I'm just a novice geek, but that Flash thing of the gods is incredible.

Thanks, Dave and team!

The complexity and amount of creativity that goes into this game is a LOT of what makes it fun to struggle through.
