[Possible ARG?] The Ring 2

I received a pointer to this site from a local Goth mailing list that I'm on:

If you want to have some real fun, go to the site while listening to some trance music. That will mess with your mind some.

Not sure if this is a mistake on the part of the design team or not... but buzztone.com is an actual marketing agency.

Here's what I can figure out about the site.
You can sign up for their forums, but not post; all those people posting are fakes. The site is really simple, and people there seem to have everything under control (the seventh day message, "are you dead yet?" isn't nearly as dramatic as it could be... the people on the site kinda take it like its a joke)
So its not argish in that sense.
But emails and phone numbers? I haven't phoned yet (don't wanna pay long distance for a no. thats probably out of service) but it feels like it goes a bit deeper than this.

What do you guys think?

Dear god....
a google search on buzztone and ring bought up this site

http://www.buzztone.com/wrap/thering/print.html

It is an extensive list of a semi-ARG for "the ring"

Looks like they're doin it again for Ring 2. So how many websites do you think we can dig up for this round?

Woo! Interesting things going on now. We can post!
So not an ARG... but if you consider it a waste of time to make up your own macabre death story...

Its a grade A timewaster!

[Possible ARG] Ring 2

OK OK OK I KNOW.
we talked about this for a long time in unforums, and it had some potential for an Arg, based on the fact that: you could email someone.

But maybe this has some more promise?

http://www.ring2board.com/announcement.php?f=7

The only thing left to ask is...

Have YOU seen Jake?

You're not the only one watching this. I just kind of quit checking it after the lack of activity. But now, this picture and the new site has me interested again. By the way, what kind of "random Google accident" did you have that took you to the new site?

EDIT: On second thought, I'm not so sure that this is an in-game site. Just the way it talks about the Ring movie doesn't seem right. On the she is here site, The Ring the film/theatrical version isn't spoken of, just the actual tape. This seems to be a site about a completely unrelated subject.

EDIT #2: Upon even further examination, I'm sure that the Seven Days to Live site isn't in-game (if there even is a game) In the source of she-is-here.com, you can find this:

If I recall correctly, the Seven days To Live site (among others) figured priminently in the ARG-that-wasn't for the first Rings promotion.

Hell yeah, I recalled correctly. There's a blast from the past if I ever saw one.
