/me ordered the book, etc just before xmas.

But, I'm not going to go traveling all over the US either.
If something points to a location in southern Nevada, I'll be here to pick it up and share the profits.

I am new here...BUT

I have read the entire book, and the companion book. Although the author claims that parents and children can do this together, I don't see how some of that is possible. The companion book makes it quite clear that he has used cryptography, morse code, and various types of code ciphers, that are very difficult. Unless he is clearly stating he has used all of the methods described in the companion book, I am not sure even some of the best crypographers could find some of these answers. But I am trying all kinds of things as well.

There are many letters that show up in a mirror. (Pages 20 & 21, & 48 so far)

I believe there are so many keys that it will be difficult to figure out which goes to which clue, but heck I am willing to try. The Companion book is very clear. No matter where you are in the continental US, there is a token within a days drive of you. Now the key is how long does he mean by a "Days" drive. 8 hrs or 24 hrs? LOL Anyway I am happy to collaborate to find a token. I am in Sacramento California. But I have frequent flyer miles coming to me. So any help you can provide I would be thrilled.

Here are the lines of the poem......most of this info comes from different sources at the quest4treasure board.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Page 10 Hidden well no eye can see
Page 16 Below sky and above earth be
Page 20 Treasures tweleve for you to keep
Page 22 Around the states tweleve places to seek
Page 25 Not on private property nor in anyones hands
Page 31 Nothing to be disturbed thru the lands
Page 33 Each is outside for you to find
Page 38 No digging or prying just reach inside
Page 41 An even code with on(e?) piece nary
Page 46 Will spell out the sanctuary
Page 48 Within the text you have the key
Page 52 For the one that is missing you did not see
Page 59 A code of numbers five to a side
Page 63 Reveals the name where (on?) the treasures abide
Page 66 With name in hand the fairies know
Page 69 And they will show you where to go
Page 77 There are thirteen
Page 78 Sieze your token and reach your goal
Page 83 The secret is not half but it is not whole.

There is also morse code around the frame on page 31 which says "near the overlook" and if you use the same colored letters as border color on page 63 you get "find the trees hole".

companion book

Hi all! I was just wondering how helpful the companion book is? Is it worth buying? Does it give you clues to help decipher the text or just the pictures? I am in St. Louis Mo. so a days drive, I could be almost anywhere. I will help however I can just let me know.

good luck everyone!!!
Kim

CNN says the new hint is "Tackle repositories", but the author posted "Tackle repositorys" on the Quest4Treasure board, and it appears here on his own website. (I thought I would see it on his News & Updates page, but his latest press release has not yet been added there.)

If anyone is in the San Francisco area next weekend, we could meet at one of his book signings.

some mathematics

I just heard about the treasure hunt and thought Id through some numbers around. I asked my dad what he would consider a days drive, he replied roughly 600 miles.
I was told that no matter where you are in the US any jewel is within a days drive for you. I found the land area of the continental united states to be 2959064.56 square miles. I divided that by 12 for 12 jewels since there will be 12 circles to cover the map of the US. That gives me 246588.7133 miles. I then divided that by pi( i used 3.1459 as an approximation) and got 78384.155 miles. I then took the square root of that and got 279.972 miles. This will serve as a radius for each of the 12 circles. Double that number to get a diameter of 559.94 miles. Thats about 600 miles, roughly a days drive. Now say you drive 70 mph, which is the normal speed limit on most interstates. That would give you 7.999 hours of driving. Once again, 8 hours is considered a "day".
So now you gotta figure out where you can place 12 geometric circles on the map with a diameter of 559.94 miles so that no matter what random location in the US you pick, its within 279.971 miles (the center of 1 of the circles).

Now this is just my opinion. let me know what you guys think.

enaxor! PLEASE check your messages.

Well, someone has found the ladybug.

And... the message that I gave to you has information concerning the Firefly... which... is in Oregon.

I hope I can help you.

Lol, I heard about this "Treasure's Trove" thing today, and I thought who would be better to do this than the people at Unforum. I log on, and notice that non other than aliendial has started a thread! I would love to help out, I am hopefully going to buy the book tomorrow if Barnes and Noble isnt sold out. I live in Denver Colorado, but as aliendial and maybe a few beekeepers who were at the Chicago finale of ilovebees might remember, I can fly pretty much anywhere basically for free, so if we know for sure where one is (I'd rather not waste a day because we think one might be somewhere), I can most likely get there if we don't know someone close. Of course, I will share the prize with anyone who helps out (unless it is the $450,000 one... as Jersey would say... DDDAAAMMMNNN!! just kidding!)
P.S.-So someone found the ladybug? And how do we know that the firefly is in Oregon, has someone found it as well?
