 		DotR: Just remember, the Halo 2 headset requires the Xbox Communicator ("black box"), which ONLY comes with the basic $30 Xbox Live headset.

So you'd have to get both the $30 XBL headset and the $50 Platronics(sp?), or the $70 Starter Kit and the $50 Platronics headset.

 		I will be online later tonight... now i am in Phoenix with some relatives. They told me they had an xbox... but it turned out to be a gamecube. game-cube... x-box... its sorta close, isn't it?

I think you might have some trouble with that. However, you could probably rent an XBox from Blockbuster, etc and use your XBox Live account on it. Just wipe out the account before you return the XBox.

Ain't it a shame that there is no cross-platform console gaming network?
