yeah, sorry... that was my fault. i got a bit excited when i got that e-mail and it turned out not to be spam.

i have one question, though. how do we know that aac is not the enemy? i mean, Ben didn't mention anything about it last night, and we don't really have enough information about PN to know what it is we're trying to do. i mean, it does make sense that this could be the truth we're trying to uncover... but it could be the exact opposite as well. just a little paranoid thought to make you sleep better tonight.

I'm starting to see why they're called "ARGs"... it's not because it's short for "Alternate Reality Game". It's because that's the phrase you continually want to yell while playing them.

Dates solved

Just posted this over at IU. As per Zeke's instructions, I'm going to start using that as the main board... but during this transition I will try to post at both.

---------

Hmm.. I'm not sure why, but I never received the reply about searching for any patterns for the kids.

Anyway, I just sent off another email to AAC Informer. There is a definite pattern that predicts the next abduction dates. Here's the email I sent:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Help!

I seem to have cracked a code with these aliens and it's very important this gets to the right people. If you look at the dates of the abductions, you'll notice a pattern emerges:

The difference between May 13, 2004 and September 18, 2004 is exactly 128 days. The difference between Sept 18 and Nov 21 is exactly 64 days. Again, the difference between Nov 21 and Dec 23 is 32 days. The days between abductions continues to shrink by a factor of two.

This means that the next abduction dates would take place on:

12 23 04 + (16 days) = 01 08 05
01 08 05 + ( 8 days) = 01 16 05
01 16 05 + ( 4 days) = 01 20 05
01 20 05 + ( 2 days) = 01 22 05
01 22 05 + ( 1 day ) = 01 23 05

But what happens when:

01 23 05 + ( 0 day ) ????

This is the only pattern I've found so far. Is there any other data you have to work with that I could use to help?

Thanks and good luck,
-Sean

Just a question, was this actually Zeke's instructions for each of the 3 groups? I know encryption is officially discussing at IU, but are media and research also now to be meeting there?

Nice find BTW... it's like another countdown Smile

Hey bruce,

Yeah Zeke created 'groups' and an area for us over at IU. We are told that that is a 'safe' area to talk about stuff.

Yah bruce we the media team work theer for In-game stuff. We use Unfiction as our OOG discussion. Now on what snare just said. I'm thinking this is a sub-plot in the stroy...that will one day merge into the main plot of uncovering the truth. Also remeber Ben told us little of this "truth". So it could be anything, and your right to ponder if this could be the enemy, but i don't think an organization like the AAc is the enemy. But whoever took those kids is for now our enemy.

I don't know if it really is anything or not, Debbe, but that is interesting. I was wondering that too about the U.R. and D.O.

A trend in locations?

Encryption Team pitched the following e-mail and attachment to Zeke, with a justified, whether incorrect or not, trend we noted in locations.

You may need to be logged in to view the attachment there. Feel free to pull it over here in a new msg if you desire.

A bit of speculation, if I may, concerning Matteus...

On the PandoraNext webpage, it shows the status of it's seven directors. A, B, D, and Z we know as Alfred, Ben, Derek, and Zeke, heads of Research, Media, Encryption, and Operations, respectively.

There are also three other directors we haven't encountered: J, M, and S. Could M be Matteus? Of course, if it is, this raises the question of why PandoraNext didn't already know about AAC Informer, seeing as one of their directors would have referred us all if this were the case.

Hmm, that's a pretty good theory. It's very possible. Maybe it could even be The Director that supposedly disappeared.

Hmmm, not sure about that.

After all, the PandoraNext website lists Director M's status as "OK", which would probably preclude the possibility that he was abducted by aliens.

Is it possible they don't know about it yet?
