As part of my official duties as the Aglaura Borough attorney, I am informing you of the very serious consequences that are before you if you continue to avoid and ignore the Grand Jury subpoena that has been issued for you. I am well aware, from several sources, that you maintain regular access to this e-mail account and so stand reasonably assured that this message will reach you.
As you may know, the Marzano Investigation is a Federal Grand Jury and hey have issued a subpoena ad testificandum against you, to secure your attendance at and possible testimony in the Grand Jury Investigation. Although you have not technically been delivered the subpoena yet, let's be realistic about this, shall we? Already, due to their inability to serve you yesterday and today, the Grand Jury has, in all likelihood, brought the full force of both state and federal investigative bodies into the search. Without fleeing the entire area, there is very little chance you will be able to entirely avoid such a search and will eventually be served with the subpoena.
Once served, you have three options. They are: comply with the subpoena; convince the court that you do not have to comply with it; or simply refuse to comply and be held in contempt. It would be wise to consider these options carefully, and even wiser to join the Mayor, myself, and the other members of the Council in discussions at the Municipal Building, to plan our joint approach for handling the Grand Jury appearances. Please give it serious thought. There is much at stake, Dale. For once, think of someone other than yourself.
