cat all_emails.txt | grep -E "[[:alnum:]]+@[[:alnum:]]+(\.[[:alnum:]]+)+" > valid_emails.txt
If it weren't 6:45 after a night of not sleeping, I'd even check if it worked XD
well, well.... that gives you what *looks* like a vali de-mail address
After that I's try to send an e-mail to each, and make sure it doesn't bounce

was overjoyed when I sawthe semacode on the postcard cuase new what that was, but was beaten to that one too
Still I can research like a bugger and find stuff easily, maybe too easily for this game.
Looking forward to the real kick off when things get interesting

Scariest thing is i mentioned it about a week or two before the postcard was spotted, as i mentioned it as a "i'd do this to really mess arg players heads up", oh and it appeared

Which goes with my spec for the postcard code.
(IMHO) They are using it to find out how we break codes.
So they can make new puzzles, that dont go along those lines

Indeed SA, that presents a serious problem....especially with the e-thread we might as well throw in the towel now if the PMs are gonna pull a nasty on us...

And the PMs are thinking 'isnt that a good idea?'

Or "hey, we can lay a proper red herring here with this and have them going for weeks..."
*shakes a fist at the postcard code*

"hell i needed to make it check for valid email addresses only!"
(also its been brought up before, not sure if in previous threads but defo on irc)
Apologies if someone's suggested this before - couldn't find it on 'search' but...
Bored at work and mind a'wandering - wondered if the quote 'When the time is right, we'll be in contact again' from the Perplexcity homepage could be interpreted in more than one way. I know that people have plugged in '2210' from the postcard but could it be fishing for some sort of time (in what format, I don't know) to advance the game a bit? Just a Monday afternoon thought...

Well don't know if this is anything but... ... when I searched on the "Patience is a necessary ingredient of genius" this evening I found this:
www.nottingham.ac.uk/pub/projects/interally/map02
I wondered if this would be someway of interrogating the email thingy further. Don't know if it's ethical or even related in any way. Just a thought really.

Seems to me that the page you found is just an automated response from a list server.
The quote at the beginning tells us where their got the "Patience..." from (but this was already reported I think).
The rest of the text is pretty standard stuff (at first sight).
Good finding though.... it might turn out that this list server is in game...but right now I don't see why it would.

Okay, HOW did you find that? Is it something you found on the "thanks" page of the syzygy website?
Anyway I was playing around with it and it goes from map 01 - 27. Barely read through them. Don't know if it's ethical either.
