I just read somewhere on here that the sandglass could be a clue....
It says so in the horoscope in the hornchurch star.....
Look at the sandglass.... turn it upside down...... and what do you see?

yeah, i turned it upside down......
there is a figure with a sword on it....as it seems to me.
standing in a kind of garden...with a brick wall????
edit:
i would suspect the photographer to be reflected...but it clearly doesnt....
as it being antique....where could the "picture" have been taken?
could it be a clue to search on pathwaytravel?
2nd edit:
on the normal pic inflated... do i see there a man playing soccer?
it kinda looks like the icon for soccer..... (that is the pictogramme of a player, just about shooting the ball)
Description
upside down pic......

hey,
is it only me or the ads have disappeared form the hornchurch site?
i don"t know if it means something but today we are the 13th of january, the satanic new year eve.. it's a strange coincidence they remove the ads when we start posting on manipulating them.

I examined the hourglass in both the office of "director of aquisitions" and the one from the antiques add.
Turned them both upsidedown, zoomed ind and out, set different colourfilters over it an the likes, but I really don't think there is anything hidden there.

I think the "sword" you describing is simply a reflection in the glass...

I see it clearly as the white inferno cargo-building with all the windows. The picture of the sand-glass is just taken from a different angle. Like straight in front of the building so that you see all the white windowframes through it.

I really don't see that at all.
Remember the 3rd "spiral-thingy" that holds it together is seen THROUGH the glass. And all I see is that and a reflection in the glass.
_____
The only thing I still have on my "Hmmm...."-list regarding those pictures of the two otherwise identical sandglasses is that (presuming that both the sandglass and the framed butterfly-collection in the Hornchurch Star-adds are the same as the ones in the office of director of acquisitions) there is a black thingy on top of the sandglass in the add which is NOT on the one in the office.
I don't know if this means anything at all... personally I don't think it does.
But it's the only thing left (for me at least) that might need attention.
But then again... I could be SO wrong and there is really a footballplayer in there... so - back at square one *sigh*

there must be a reason why we haven't moved on.
here's the possibilities:
1. The game hasn't been updated. there is nothing to do....yet.
2. We are supposed to figure out how to gain a pure soul worth.
3. The password is indeed a mixture of football team/car/numbers, we just need to figure it out.
4. We have reached the end. (i really hope not)
5. There is a clue (maybe more) we haven't found.
what do you guys think?
Also, another interesting reference.
In the guest book for the Gray Lodge on Devil's island there's an entry which reads:
"Mina and I had a quietly elegant time here. See you next year. I was hoping to book from home next time..."
Could this 'Mina' be Mina Harker, wife of Jon harker, who was in the dracula books. She got turned by dracula but still escaped.

I'm pretty sure that its number 1.
Also, your AHIWAC could also be AIWAC, seeing as Hilberts is a name... i dunno, just my two cents.

So, we are suppose to assume that we've moved so quickly that there is this long of a stall between game updates? That is just frustrating or highly amussing. I'm not sure which.

Where This Is All Going I would just like to comment on one thing... a dear friend pointed out to me that the Horoscope Page on the Hornchurch star is some sort of Guideline for when the major events in the game are going to take place, and what we can sort of expect. For example, Capricorn, is the period we are currently under. It says, "The worth of a thing is what it will bring. It's nearly time to discover exactly what your true value is." Everyone is anxious about this soul worth malarkey...and the answer to that my sweets is exactly what you're going to get...well I think anyway. The stops in the game (i.e the brick wall we are up against now with regards to the Upstairs Door) are all a part of framing these periods of time alongside the horoscope dates.
Going along this line, I also predict that the game will be ending on April 20th when "A mystery man will soon enter your life. He will bring you your hearts desire. At a price"
Another thing...why oh why are so many people extensively researching this and that. All answers/passwords/codes are IN game. I recommend that we all look to what we have in front of us, as oppose to going off at tangents and googling our butts off.
Last thing..Hi...have been following the game since September, Its nice to meet you all..

Nice that you've follewed this game since Sept, though you did miss some points because the horoscope-thing is already mentioned several times before.
No problem anyway, figuring this out by yourself means good thinking and that's the most important thing: all of us working together to find clues (& Jon).
You must feel free to take a look at the future, but personally I think it is to frustrating just to sit & wait. That's why some of us are googling his / her but of. You must admit that some of the info found by googling was very usefull.
For now: Keep up the good work!
Greetzzzz,
Janis
