I don't know if this is better suited somewhere else, but I was wondering if anyone had compiled all the questions yet? Give somewhere to start in trying to garner that perfect score.
<<edit:>> nevermind, found it in this post [/b]
could someone post the list in the wiki, with spec and/or observation on what makes a good score?

There is one component which seems to track your mouse co-ordinates on that spinning face thing that appears between sections.
that's sounds kinda similar to the flash quiz on the stella site - maybe there's something on the animation of the phrenological head model that could affect the score - any of you flash guys know whether it's possible to interact with it?
I'm assuming you're talking about the Film Finder on that site.
For anyone who hasn't seen it go here and then click on "THE INSIDER" section followed by "Film Finder".
You are then given a series of questions with which the software tries to determine what kind of mood you are in and selects and appropriate film.
The software also measures how quickly you move the mouse and if you move it too fast, it deems you to be very stressed.
As for the mouse tracking in the worthtool.swf file, the script looks like this:
Quote:
onEnterFrame = function() {
xpos.text = getProperty(""_xmouse)
ypos.text = getProperty(""_ymouse)
}
stop()
Unfortantley I'm very inexperienced with decompiling flash files which I've ripped straight off websites and as a result of that I'm yet to learn how to receive more of the flash content so that I can decompile that too, as it seems that it downloads the extra content when it needs it (like the loading scenes between areas on www.thehidingroom.com ).

I just retook the test and held my mouse very still and moved it slowly (calmly?). Instead of the 50 I had been scoring, I made a 70/40. Still not high enough though.

Decompiliing Flash Files I have seen a common problem that i keep seeing on all threads and discussions is that noone can open the door on the second floor in the hidingroom site. (its password protected) but it seems that there are people who has decompiled flash files (such as the weathermap) so, since the hiding room itself is in flash, why hasnt somone decompiled that code and get behind that password protected door? Im not an expert on flash, so trying myself would be futile, but im sure someone could do it.
It might have been tried somewhere before, but i havent heard of anyone trying it yet. I believe that the key for this whole mystery is getting behind that door.

Hi
i'm new here, but i've been playin it for a month now, i wanted to do it on my own, but since this seems inpossible ...
Have you noticed that the spiral you have to draw in the test, is the same as the freaky marlowe page you get when you change the days in the webcam on the Hornchurch site?
i don't know if it's anything, but didn't see it anywhere, so..

Out of curiosity, would decompiling the flash file for Jon Harker's account at sableshuck.com yield anything? The flash appears specific to Harker, since it's called container_J5H2.swf (J H being Jon Harker; 5 being the number of letters following the H and 2 being the number of letters following the J), so the results of entering the password for the contract would probably be in there (probably; I don't know my flash at all). Incidentally, I tried a similar naming scheme for a Dennis Horen account, but unfortunately, it yielded nothing.

Decompiled it and had a look. Looks like the same situation as the mezzanine door - any password you enter will be ignored and the login will automatically fail.
Dead end until they update it.

that's nasty, you mean that any password even when it's the right one won't work???
Untill they update it?
then what the hell are we supposed to do, cause everytime i have an idea i check it, by entering it in the contract or the door, if it doesn't fit i throw the idea out... So maybe i've thrown the right idea away?
are we supposed to search for something else at this point, in stead of searching the passwords?

Looks like there is a game-wide hiatus until the next update. The date of which has been discussed in another thread.

there can be some reasons for the PM to not yet install the password....
my best guess is that they have never expected us to be this fast...that soo many ppl on the world play this game.....
that would explain the updates on nonregular basis, so they can watch us, and then interveine with it.
in that case we just have to wait for the update....
i guess that their is another possibility:
namely that they have the game completed allready, but want to start some discussions among us. so they keep us from entering the password. until every stone is turned upside down, and we have learned heaps about stuff i usually wouldnt be interested in....
for my case, they strengthened my antitrust against all religion, now i know there is more to do, then what has been taught in my youth (im still youth, but you know what i mean). i have been thinking about devils, fibonacci, coordinates, anagrams, everything discussed inhere... i wanted to buy books on topics as computer hacking, decompiling flash, passwordbreaking.... they really got me thinking...
even i bought all the books of Dan Brown......
checked numerous sites about occultism, religion, maths, etc etc etc...
that is the whole purpose of the game.... in my sight that is...
i guess for many more of you, you will feel the same...
and then again... my biggest conspiracy, which i now reveal.. isnt jon, or brigid or the MIB registered at this forums...using another name? helping us. tracking us. misleading us????
No, im not ingame, it is just my expression of thought, now dont suspect each other.....

No password There is a clue: NO PASSWORD in one of the flash guestbooks! We could have known it was useless to look any further
Nevertheless, we can stop looking for clues, for no password will work. We will have to wait for a message from S&S or Jon which will indicate the password. At the same time the flash file must be updated....

Re: No password Greetings all !!!
As this is a commercial activity for Stella Artois, I can't see where they gain some popularity for their beer with this ARG.
Anyhow, I'm waiting for a 5 in the clock and I will still be drinking Grolsch.

well as for gaining Stella gaining popularity, any press is good press and I have begun to purchase the odd stella here and there while at the pub.
