two letters I've received

This looks most definitely like spam.

could be, but - no files attached, no links and all the spam related things came exactly at the time of the S&S, plus - well, i've never got THAT kind of spam before.

if it is, than, guess that was just a coincidante.

It does not look like spam to me, and also the possibility that it is some part of a file which has - errationally - be send in a mail also does not seem likely to me.

Further, I doubt if all the words are English, although many of them are. I recognize various medical/biological terms (such as otolaryngo.. etc.), but I also spotted quatorze, which is French for 14, and also some words are there which look Japanese, or maybe some other languages.
Further, it has all the elements of being a coded message: there are periods placed between some of the words, which could mean the end of a sentence or word. Some words are repeated, which you would not expect in such a text.

Maybe someone with more knowledge of cryptology should look into this?

On teh other hand, it is strange that a newcomer in the game (sorry if I offend you by calling you a newcomer ), at least someone who only now registers at S+S would receive such a mail which would give clues for the game.

Any suggestions?

On the contrary, this looks exactly like the kind of spam I get all the time - they use a mishmash of unusual words to trick spam filters into letting it pass. I never quite figured out the ones that didn't have any ads in them, but I heard that spammers sent them out, and the ones that didn't bounce back were working email addresses that hadn't filtered them (or something.) In fact I heard it elsewhere on UF i believe.

Looks exactly like an attempt to confirm your email address. "Non-words" don't register on the spam filter, so the message gets through to your inbox. The spammers see that it didn't bounce, therefore went to someone, so your address gets added to their list.

Nice try, but I think it's just spam. I have a feeling the clue we need will be something that has been in our faces all along. We're all tying our brains in knots trying to put pieces together and it almost seems like we're trying too hard.

I'm sure that this has already been mentioned, but i know some peeps wondered if the phrase only applied to the mezzanine password - it doesn't.

If you go back and deliberately put in the wrong password to the Cache password it says the same thing...

so the "think harder" isn't an additional clue

soz if I'm rehashing old things especially as we're all getting frustrated coz we're not getting anywhere new fast .... just felt like putting that emoticon in coz i haven't seen it used before

Again, it is just spam. I've seen them before.

Yup; spam. They're all big obscure words as if someone has got a list of rarely-used words (i.e. words that won't be picked up by a spam filter) and cut and pasted them in there. Just in case I tried picking at it a little as if it was a ciphertext but I don't see anything in there. Besides, all the in game material has kept to a pretty strong infernal theme and there's no sign of this here. I'd block the sender and delete if I were you.
