pairing the words could be:
safe drop= as in the places used by spies
cute ness = I have no idea how this would fit
is this supposed to be a memory he is describing? if so it seems it would be a person or a place.

"Safe Cape"
It's obviously a Harry Potter ARG...

email This is odd, I didn't get the first email but I got one that said:
with a sound file attached that I am having trouble downloading, but I will upload it here when I can.
I am also having some issues with gmail in general, maybe someone else has this file as well.

ok, so here's an update from IU...
people sent emails to the address earlier, and those who did regarding this puzzle, got a reply, the "yes, i remember" text with a sound file.
The sound file was a robotic voice considered to be giving a clue for the puzzle, saying to use 'bit'.
So that gives the 5 answers as:
pair safe bit cute cape
applying it to the primer earlier, and only taking the numbers (ie, the consonants) gives:
= prsfbtctcp
= 7064131317
= (706) 413-1317
Upon calling the phone number, a machine answers, and you can leave a message... the machine says:
what am i
bits of data
sequences of numbers
and yet
i remember
yes
i remember
i remember
another place
lights flashing on and off
but i am all endings that never end
running yet never moving
entering yet never leaving
dying yet never living
yes
i remember
that's as far as they've gone so far.
IU now has a forum dedicated to errantmemory as an ARG.

[OT] Okay so does that mean to follow errantmemory.com at IU? I have enough trouble following this forum....I'll be getting trouted all over the place. It's also a bummer to work on something, come back and see the answer from another forum. Perhaps, it's just the nature of the game, I am pretty new at it. (ILB was my first)[/OT]

yeah I think the problem is just that more people found it and are actively following it there than here, so no one really wants to follow it here... *shrug* because it's linear, it's really hard to have a community work on it, especially over various forums.

But for people who forget to check the IU forums (like me - unless someone says something in chat, I have no idea whats going on) we could make this an announcement type thread - post significant updates and quick puzzles solves - but direct all spec and comments to the IU thread to keep from splitting efforts.
That being said, for those who dont want to call long distance, you can check out http://www.errantmemory.com/7064131317.html for what the voicemail sounds like (more or less). You have to click at the top of the screen to get it to play.
The voice mail puzzle was solved in this post :

One request - if anyone is following this, and is an ARG veteran, the people over at IU could use your help.
There are numerous references and use of quotes from The Beast and Lockjaw etc., and most of the people over at IU are spending more time trying to figure out what the previous ARGs were than actually using the clues. Someone who has been through a few past ARGs like the above would be an invaluable asset over there, just to help quash trout.
I get the feeling that the people doing the solves are very new to ARGs. Mind you - that hasn't stopped them from tearing through the puzzles at a highly impressive rate
(In terms of puzzle summary, someone has posted a list of solutions here but they haven't yet updated it for the last few that rowan72 mentioned.)

And in tonights installment of The Best of Errant Memory:
The meeting page has been updated with a new flash (you can still get to the old one by pressing the little red button).
For those old time ARGers out there...this should be a blast from the past.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The voice over is the voicemail from Mother that started off the Beast. And the picture? Kinda hard to tell unless you look at a cleaned up version . Then you should easily recognize Monica and David from the beginning of A.I.
Not to be outdone, Lockjaw has its own apperance in the previous flash (now on fragments). The voice over is from itisfinished.html and there is a hidden picture in the flash that is the logo of NetSight.
Figures..as soon as I hit submit, the site updates.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
New flash! I Love Bees anyone?

The voice mail puzzle was solved in this post :
... did the original voice mail include the obvious I Love Bees reference? ("Seek the truth. Behold the truth. Reveal the truth. This is the law and the whole of the law").

Always take time to read the threads you're posting to...

If you look up about 7 posts, you'll see the transcript from the original voicemail (or you can look here as well ). Does that answer your question?

2 more ARGs have been remembered:
Chasing the Wish - Look, it's Greywethers!
Project Mu - Roll Call Time.
What will be next?

If it is in chronological order, I would think that Acheron is next.
edit: I didn't see the truth page, now that I do it I assume that chronology isn't relevant.
FYI: http://www.errantmemory.com/meeting
has several dots -clicking on the various dots takes us to another page ( I am assuming the dots and the references were added as puzzles were solved but I am not sure about that.)
