Those repeat because the binary itself shifts.
I went INSANE over this last night, and I'm not looking at it again unless something new comes out, and no one else in the WORLD MENTIONS the words binary, one, or zero. Very Happy
I was referring to the fact, Yanky, that G&N had a mini-hissy fit since they weren't communicating with Teh Zai (Zmail.) The txt messages, are what they weren't supposed to be doing.
That's what the thought of messages in between the numbers Pandora left reminded me of, but now, since I've had sleep, they are kind of irrelevant, since they're not under Pandora in secure.s.c, Pandora herself is.
And you can login to secure without a pass for Pandora, thanks to Philter over our xMyth.

Someone on the other board made a joke about gramatical errors being a code of some type, but it really struck me as odd that the zmail error message had so many things wrong with it.

An instead of A
errort instead of error
inacessible instead of inaccessible

Eh, but perhaps I'm just grasping at straws here. If you take out the extra and missing letters you get NTC, does that mean anything to anyone?

Ah. Actually, this raises an interesting question: should we warn Pandora that Neil is planning to blackmail her, or does she already know? She does say:
Quote:
As yet the witch-hunt for the site "terrorists" has refocused its efforts elsewhere. However, without hard actionable proof betraying a "patsy," my respite is temporary at best.

And then she mentions that Schalf is taking it personally - I wonder if she heard/read it elsewhere, or in that e-mail to Quinn?

P.S. I see you're having fun with my name. Stop it; you're MORTIFYING ME!! Very Happy
*ahem*
oh, also - for some reason I can't post on your board under today's topic, whether I'm logged in or not... Confused
EDIT: never mind, I see it has been resolved.

She -does- work there. I don't think only 6 or so people work there Wink So, word probly got around, that, and she is well enough to predict his reaction, having worked with him for years in that environment. She's close enough to have gotten promoted in the past. Very Happy
I think she knows what Neil is up to, but I can't say for sure.
I say we warn her anyway, to be on the safe side.
Which was overdone a tad with the PWNing and whatnot on Teh Zai, but it's all good! Very Happy

Ok, so I kept looking for a system log (from the "Dumping system log to secure.slumberil.com/trash/ "), and I found http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/error_log [eidt]as well as http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/error_log/index.php [/edit]

Does that mean that we can't access the folder, but we could still access specific files (if they are there, that is)?

I should add that I love that kind of stuff (AP logs were by far my favorite part of MU), and I think I'm going to start looking for specific dates or something. Plus, shouldn't there be some kind of access logs as well, according to Pandora?

---------edit--------
I'm suddenly thinking this is out-of-game as well Confused Btw, /error_log outside of /trash also gives a 403.

found also this folder:

http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/log/

but judging from the dates this is not ingame (?)

edit: oh, and just a note: secure.slumberil.com allows ssh connections (port 22) but that again could be out of game

edit #2: since we supposedly are to put blame on somebody else, maybe we need to log in as that somebody and do something Twisted Evil

The nmap folder appears to be an exact copy of NMapWin v1.3.1 (the latest version). That means there are the following folders and files:

http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/cc++
http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/CVS
http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/install
http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/lib
http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/log
http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/nmap
http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/nmapserv
http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/nmapwin
http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/winhelp
http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/winpcap
http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/License.txt
http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/Makefile
http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/nmapwin.dsw
http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/ReadMe.txt
http://secure.slumberil.com/trash/nmap/test.nmap

I would not advise attacking the SSH server, there are several hundred sites hosted on that server, and it would probably be treated as an intrusion attempt.
