Need a hand pretty please

Only have basic HTML skills, and only know a little bit about forms.

I am trying to create a form page that has 6 different questions with 6 specific numerical answers.

I don't need any information from this form to reach me, it is for the person visiting the page to check his/her answers.

So that when the person submits a wrong answer (i.e. 6578) they are directed to my "Oops try again" page. And when they are specifically correct (i.e. 6579) they get a "Good Job!" sort of page.

The answers are specific, but can't be found via the source code.

Can anyone give me a hand with this, I'm googled out - as everything I find on quiz type forms seems to be about multiple choice.

Maybe I don't even need to use a form, but rather an action of some type?

Whenever I need something like that, I check over at http://www.hotscripts.com. They have all sorts of stuff to go through, from java to cgi to php scripts.

Thanks addie, I have looked in many places like that and just can't find what I'm in need of, which is so very simple compared to what most of the scripts out there do.

Any further suggestion would be appreciated.

If you're not concerned with the person checking the source for the answers, you could always do form validation with Javascript.

For Example:
Code:

<script language="JavaScript">
<!--
function checkA(answer)
{
 if (answer != "6591")
  {alert ("that is not correct");}
 else
   {window.open('nextpage.html');}
}
-->

<FORM NAME=verifyA>
<label>ENTER ANSWER A</label>
<INPUT TYPE=text NAME="answerA" ID="answera" SIZE="5" MAXLENGTH="5">
<INPUT TYPE="button" NAME="button" Value="testA" onClick="checkA(this.form.answerA.value)">
</FORM>

If you wanted it to check multiple answers simultaneously:
-add more INPUT fields, each with a unique name
-in the onClick script, add this.form.answerB.value, this.form.answerC.value...
-in the Javascript function, add new variables in the function call to accept each new value. eg. function checkA (A, B, C)

(note: I just did this freehand, I don't know if it would work exactly as written. It's just an example)

Well, which one of you guys did that thing that hid the Javascript source from the Unraveling?

You could just use that.
