I haven't been following this at all...

I haven't been following this game at all, but apparently I signed up somewhere. I just got the following email today.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
From: simonSPLATchaoseed.com <simon@chaoseed.com>
To: cybertearsSPLATgmail.com

Subject: The truth

I have been manipulating your little "puppet masters" since the beginning of this endeavor. Look at the filenames of the elemental webpages--random letters? I think not.
Three names shall unlock understanding...

Yes, I received that nice little letter. Apparently Mr. Hacker has his own e-mail now.

The filenames in question:
in8.htm
lg8.htm
n8.htm
na8.htm
element1.htm

letters: inlgnna

...oh, and that three names bit? I wouldn't say *that* answer out loud. *cough*

One more thing of note:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
simon is a keyword to the jan termin box. ...interesting.
Title of page: tooeichxuntae oewmbypdee

Is this on the same path as the "He Who Shall Not Be Named" stuff? I haven't read Lovecraft so I'm kinda flailing around blindly (which I'm sure is utterly amusing to the PMs).

Oh, I just wrote Simon. Not my nicest letter I've written, but then he's supposed to be a bad guy right, so it's okay? I hope so. I basically called him a loser who would be mean to puppy dogs. Now watch, he'll make my life miserable with silly keywords.

You're not nice? I called him Yellow *****! Smile

Yes, my main guess is on that path, yes. I could be wrong, but that's my guess. By the way, I haven't read too much of Lovecraft either, but I've gone through the linked bits and I do understand the general concept - things so alien that attempts of the mind to comprehend them lead to insanity, and not so nice alien things to boot.
