Some questions and thoughts...

We´ll hear more from Jon in the dawn of the 20:th of January if I may come up with a guess. The new "month" of Aquarius. The sentence "The worth of a thing is what it will bring." on SS:login-square might even change to something from the Aquarius instead of Capricorn.

Am I off track?

Some other questions not related so much to the Game.
Red Herring? - False clue or what´s the meaning?
ROT-12? - Could you give me a short explanation?
Is there someone in this forum from Sweden?

Would like to discuss my thought with someone in my native tounge, since my english bring me trouble when codes and riddles are translated inte the Swedish Alphabet with some extra letters.

/Will be back...with some more useful ideas I hope..

I don't remember anyone mention they were swedish, but maybe...
I never found it necessary to tell that I'm danish, so there might be.

I understand swedish very well, and I'd be glad to help - but I don't think the dialogue should be here on the forum, really.
If no swede pops up, you can write me a private message and we can meet on skype or msn.

I was new to all this about a week or two ago, and I strongly recommend that you read EVERYTHING.
Also look at unforum Index and see Online Tools - there is a lot to be found there, including your question about ROT

Welcome to the game Wink

/Maria

As we already know the 3 photos shown here (click on photo to see all 3) are taken by photographer Olaf Veltman.
The article says:
Quote:
To create the fire and brimstone raging outside the office shown in one ad, pyrotechnicians set fire to an abandoned oil refinery, which Veltman added during the post-production stage.

So... the office-picture is also the picture used on the Sable+Shuck website only... they're different.

In the one used on S+S site there are some things missing.
Obviously the man in black is missing.
So are the SA-beers.
The background is different too.
It is not fire and brimstone, but regular buildings seen through the windows.
Also - the butterfly-collection is gone.

As I remember it the coloured picture (with the devil) is not found anywhere but on Olaf Veltmans Homepage and at pdnonline - right or wrong??

Uploaded the pictues make my point easier to understand.

I think the color pics were run nationally in Europe for SA's print ad campaign, and this ARG is more running with the idea.

I think, it's just a port folio from the photographer who makes stella's add's.
Not in game i think...
The site has none of the typical stuff all the in game sites have.
I don't think we should look there, it's cool though, but i don't think there's a clue...

odd...

Guys, been using the search thing for more than the required 5 mins and couldn't find a single hit for "Jonathan Wilson" (no, not Jonathan Harker) or his book called "the Hiding Room" as mentioned on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0140238263/103-2598213-4115040).

So... I thought it would be ok to post here under q's and t's... no trouts please...

Unfortunately, I'm quite sure that JW's book has sod all to do with the game, but perhaps some of you out there see it differently.

Please note that the reviewer "chillbooks" has written only one other review... on a CD by ... "Da Vinci's Notebook" (perhaps referring to "the Cache" or "the Book of Star"?).

Apparently they form some A Capella-band that sings funny songs, but the familiar name just came up too often on this forum just to put aside... also check grutte pyr's separate topic on the similarities he sees between Dan B's book and this game.

I know that the dates of both reviews are way in the past, as well as completely off-target as far as I can see, but what the ... maybe one of you will read something different!

Lemmeknow,

Mien
PS: anyone feel free to put this post in a different topic if you feel it fits better there....

The first post on this thread seems very relevant at a point were alot of people are running in circles and momentum seems to be slowing to a degree.

Has anyone considered a post like that is from a puppetmaster?

10 cents. deposited.

It's not... trust me.
I have him on my msn-messenger-list, and he's just a swedish guy trying to solve this thing as everybody else is.

And really... this site is not In Game.
I'm pretty sure we will not see any hints or clues on this forum from the PM's.

I too think that we will see the next clue on january 20th, since this is the first day of Aquarius.
(Maybe even the stars on the loading-page of thehidingroom.com will be changed to Aquarius?)

And no... I'm not a PM either trying to cover up anything Wink

Actually, PM's are not allowed to post here. If you look up, on the top of each thread, there is a note from SpaceBass entitled: "Puppetmasters, PLEASE read these rules before posting your killer new game." It summarizes the rules for PM's while their ARG is running.

I´d like to exchange the 10 cents for another clue in-game...
