Maxwell Knight explains that puzzle quite convincingly.

It was simply there to explain to members that someone had made a fake video of Rob Henly being tortured... but not neurocam... apparantly.

site relationships

Not sure if anyone uses this but it does provide an interesting and easy way to find sites that are related to any other site.

go to:

http://www.touchgraph.com/TGGoogleBrowser.html

enter neurocam.com and see everything it touches or touches it.

Just an FYI.

I don't how the rest of you feel, but if this is some type of game, even though they say it is not, frankly it sucks. Natuarally that is an opinon, however with that said, it takes way too long to get a response there is minimal interaction, and to this date I cannot find a single puzzle or code to break. The only thing that is amusing at this point is going through the posts and reading them. Which is another thing, this site is utilized for ARG's, perhaps Unfiction should think about dropping this bulletin for this so called, possible, not probable, wanna be ARG. Twisted Evil

I don't think that a possible game should be dismissed because it strays from tradition.

Alternate Reality Gaming: A genre of interactive fiction using multiple delivery and communications media, including television, radio, newspapers, Internet, email, SMS, telephone, voicemail, and postal service. Gaming is typically comprised of a secret group of PuppetMasters who author, manipulate, and otherwise control the storyline, related scenarios, and puzzles and a public group of players, the collective detective that attempts to solve the puzzles and thereby win the furtherance of the story.

I think it is foolish to dismiss Neurocam. It seems well on it's way to meeting the requirements.

This is the rumors section Wink heh

Arkine is right. It's not like Neurocam is getting its own forum section here.
Just something for us to discuss and ponder....

I, for one, am content to sit back and watch where this goes.

If you're looking for stuff to read on neurocam, check out some of the regularly updated blogs on the topic.

Oh, and by the way, Neurocam has updated its disclaimer. It now clearly states, for those of you who weren't sure,

"Neurocam is not an ARG"

Edit:

There was something here detailing the latest assignment. Obviously, it caused a bit of a flare-up, so it's gone now.

Sorry to cause any trouble.

I don't understand why you posted this, Noctiluca.

For somebody so keen to be involved with something unique -- something that pushes the boundaries of the genre -- you sure are eager to sabotage it, aren't you?

Each ARG has its own internal set of rules -- if you're proceeding on the assumption that this is an ARG, you've just fucked the PMs by directly disobeying an in-game request.

If you're participating regardless of Neurocam's potential ARG status, why would you want a hand in dismantling the growth of something that has the potential to be really cool -- if not for you, then for others involved?

And why in bloody hell would you think Neurocam doesn't read this message board?

I'm guessing he thinks that there's no way they will find which operative he is, simply because he's removed his name and created a brand new accoutn at Unfiction. He's pretty safe from expulsion from my views, but who knows what Neurocam is capable of finding out?

But obviously, for all of us waiting out there, the thing is now in the open, a typical assignment must be along the lines of passing the word on of Neurocam...This is going to end good, very good I think.

"He" is apparently a 15-year-old LJ dilettante named Emily, unless s/he is smart enough to fake that info too, or link to another person's web site.

I don't think this disclosure spells the end of the campaign -- you're right, Tiny, it's a fairly logical (and elegant) assignment anyhow -- but it's the fact of the disclosure that bothers me. A perfect defense for banning 15-year-old brats from Neurocam, as well.

I definetly agree with you that it was fairly annoying, and definetly against the rules. Then again I'm only 16, you weren't declaring that all younger people should be banned from here, right? I'm checking my email constantly waiting for an acceptance letter though, I can't wait.

Tiny, fair warning:

Any of the even marginally interesting assignments require having a car/mode of transportation.

Other than that, I don't think age should matter, as long as you act at least kind of like an adult.
