LL, I like your idea. Can't help but think "sekrit" when you see that. Particularly when one of the sign off letters is an X.

I originally thought that it's trying to convey the impression of being cut off, especially when thenumberedones breached it and got our addresses (which is how they IMd some of us).

So, although the single letters might be meaningless, I'd certainly agree to approach it as a puzzle.

Oddly enough, I did NOT get a cut-off letter. So why? Mistake, perhaps? Or maybe it was becauseI got the fishermen info?

Are we sure ST means it, itself is transforming itself, or is it transforming others as in it is the device or pathway between worlds? Maybe it cuts off when in use, when others are using it as a conduit for travel.

If ST is a portal, maybe Dale's trip through has something to do with it's awareness of us. Did Dale do any work on TAP since he got back? If he didn't who did Peter find to replace him? Maybe that is how ST got hooked up with TAP and that has something to do with it's new awareness.
