Kryptos story at wired.com

I searched and there's exactly 3 posts (no threads) regarding this topic, so I figured I throw it out there... If anyone can solve this, we can. Anyway, there's a sculpture at the CIA building that has four encrypted messages/puzzles, etc... supposedly 3 have been cracked and the fourth is still unknown. But here's the link to the story at wired.com

Supposedly anyone can crack the encryption without being there, but the actual riddle that the decrypted sculpture reveals can only be solved on CIA grounds... cool, eh? Cool

A bit buried, but Elonka's tried to turn us onto this before. Sadly, we seemed uninterested at the time.

I saw this exact same link on Fark.com a few minutes ago...guess I'm a little bit late, but I was going to say the exact same thing.

Okay, I'm officially kind of freaked out... I corresponded with that "Elonka" person semi-regularly over AIM about six or seven years ago... I don't even remember why or how I had her name, but I did. Then I read the Wired News article linked here and had some crazy deja vu. I was in like junior high at the time!

I know this doesn't mean anything to anyone here, but I had to post about this strange coincidence somewhere. Weeeeird.

Yes; I know this topic is ancient, but since the puzzle still isn't solved....

Try this link to see the Kryptos sculpture and the codes. There's no better link than the source itself. Razz

Except that according to Elonka Dunin, the CIA's transcription has at least two errors.
