I wouldn't go down that route Grutte.
That poem is about the victims of a child murder which happened 2 years ago in england. It's a big story, and there is NO WAY the PM's would do something as distasteful as lead British people back through that horrific crime.
I would delete it if I were you.

Re the Eilean Mor

some interesting bits...

Quote:
There were even more clues to be found in this case, starting with Eilean Mor itself, because the name 'Eileen' means: 'Light'. Even the name of the steamer, Hesperus, has a relevant meaning, but it is one with extra-terrestrial undertones. According to my 1989 'Concise Oxford English Dictionary', the word 'Hesperus' has two interesting connections:

Hesperus noun: 'Evening Star'. (Middle English from Latin, from Greek: Hesperos, adjective & noun, western, evening [star]).

Hesperian adjective (poetry) western; (Greek mythology) of the Hesperides. (From Latin, from Greek 'Hesperios' [as Hesperus] + -an).

There is yet another clue to be found in the fact that the disaster had occurred on the 15th of December 1900. Duplicating the numerical clue seen on the memorial in Edna Barlow's photograph, exactly the same numbers appear in the date of the disappearance. The date, 15/12/1900, converts to: 1+5, which equals 6, and 1+2+1+9+0+0, which equals 13. Rather eerily, Joseph Moore had left the lighthouse on the 6th of December 1900, a date that yields the very same numbers. As I have previously mooted, the number three has a cosmological significance too, and there were three men in that lighthouse.

...coincidental references to "star" and numbers 3, 13 and 6 (1366)

more importantly, as Jon has made a reference to the Mor Eilean on the photo perhaps he is giving us a clue as to the location/meaning of the Mor the do...

is this a Scottish thing - in scotland "Mor" means "big" or "great"

is the Mor... whatevr a place ora thing in Scotland

hmm, just had a middle of the night epihanyesque feeling, woke me up at 3:15am...
Jon mentions Arsenal again, having mentioned it in the cache. The link to the bbc webpage has him make a comment on how the name of your favourite football team mixed with numbers etc. Now, i dont know how we would guess what the numbers are or where they would go, but i feel maybe some of the letters in Arsenal should be converted, possibly via 1337. I know tha may have been suggested before, but my idea was:Arsenal are often known by their nickname,
"The Gunners". Could this help in trying to figure out a password for whatever is left to find one for? i feel it is one of the few links that weren't sufficiently followed up...
Hope this is even vaguely useful, if not then sorry.
R.

Ok, thinking about that cabbage/sulfur thing. Let's try this...break the list down and look for word associations. I see a bunch of them already:

Spectrum 48k + Space Invaders
(Spectrum is a classic video game emulator that can run in a 48k mode, SI is a classic game)

Saturday Mornings at Cinema + Betamax
(Beta is the first widely used video solution, leading the way to modern independent filmmaking. It also could tape movies off of the TV)

Xmas w/ Mum & Dad + Real Fir Trees
(Fir is a popular christmas tree)

Overcooked Cabbage + School Dinners
(see Noizzzey's post)

Choppers + Evil Knievel
(Chopper=motorcycle, Evil tried to jump one over the Grand Canyon)

Sports Day + Mr. Rickso...
(Gym Coach?)

Loved Jessica, Summer & Arsenal + Hated Eilean Mor & Veg
(Love/Hate, or maybe memories of a summer course at school)

I am 95% sure he wrote fir tree, not fur tree. Look at his handwriting in other places, he is sometimes too lazy to pick up the pen between letters (for example MORNINGS AT THE CINEMA.

One other thing. I don't trust Brigid, but there is another explanation. If the photo is of Jon as a child, and these are the parents, Brig might be absent because she was too young in the picture? Still, it would be odd for her not to pop up in the memories, either.

I wonder, though, if Jessica could be recruited as a possible ally? If we could find her? As right now it's us and Jon in it alone, for the most part.

The Hiding Groom

Guys check this out !!!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I have noticed that we are dealing with this site - called thehidingroom.
We all looked at it as the hiding room.
But it also sounds as the hiding GROOM.

I went to the safe and enterd "groom" as the password for the journal.
It thinks for a moment and then I received this message: "We are having problems at the moment, please try later"

What do you say about that !!!!

Oh dear...

Please don't pay attention to what i wrote in a spoiler on the upper message....

It appears that when you insert an incorrect password thats ALLWAYS the message you get.

But maybe there is some connection to a groom which is hiding ? maybe its Jon ?

Superjerms, you really got something here, in my opinion...
Can't be coincidental..I think we need to concentrate on that one...
Try to find a link somewhere else in the game...

Hi, you've reached Steven's voice mail, I can't take your call at the moment so please leave a message after the tone

Did not see anyone notice that Steven might be Steven Andrews, one of the S&S new acquisitions. Or are you sure his name is Scott? Could not find info a certain Andrews in the wiki or forum...

EDIT: The name Scott ofcourse refers to the mail Grutte received - but is this the same Andrews as mentioned on the S&S site?

Been searching "L.Gilbert, Ceylon, FMCG with Travel options."
Found the "Ordeal of Gilbert Pinfold" a book by Evelyn Waugh.
From Amazon: "A successful, middle-aged novelist with a case of "bad nerves," Gilbert Pinfold embarks on a recuperative trip to Ceylon. Almost as soon as the gangplank lifts, Pinfold hears sounds coming out of the ceiling of his cabin: wild jazz bands, barking dogs, and loud revival meetings.

Question

Sorry I think the Gilbert you are up to is not the same; L Gilbert is a last name, Gilbert Pinfold is a firt name.

Anyway, I found this:

Quote:
Living in California, Harker's son Jeffrey is engaged to a woman named Jessica Frasier. Jonathan, believing Dracula has somehow returned to torment them, sends his old journal to Jeff. Jeff learns for the first time of his father's exploits to save his beloved Mina.
Jeffery is soon called upon to handle a real estate deal for a wealthy man named Robar Libellule, AKA Robar Dracul. The situation mirrors Jonathan's brokering of Carfax in Stoker's Dracula, but Jeff does not seem to realize he's falling for the same set of circumstances. Once Libellule arrives, he slowly begins to drive a wedge between Jeff and Jessica with his hedonistic charms.

It looks like very far fetched, but at least it is some sort of explanation why the PM wants to use the name Jessica. Will go on with the search for her anyway.
