Lifespan of the Op Something has me wondering.
AI's go rampant and "die" after ingesting so much data that they think themselves to death. This usually happens after 7 years.
However, Durga said when she was blown apart, much of her was lost. Which makes me wonder...could the accident lengthened her lifespan? In a way, it'd make her more human, not knowing when she'd end up dying. With a data loss on that scale, it certainly seems less likely she'll think herself to death anytime soon.
Just a thought.

couple that with a massive reorganization of her structure., possibly solving issues with AI architecture...

Couple that with collecting and sharing data simultaneously across two different timelines and at least three distinct personalities. I wouldn't send her out on any more ONI missions. What do AI's do in retirement?

No no no. They BUILD video games.
I don't think playing video games would hold much appeal for AI's. They'd be able to do them with like, .001% of their processing power, and do them perfectly.
Although I would love to see an AI play a FPS. I wouldn't want to play against them, but it'd be great to see them OWN everyone else. It'd be a lot of fun to hear the trash talkers on the other team then. Especially if you make it such that they can't quit out and have to finish the game.

I love that. I am going to quote you wildly. Or steal it. Or both.

Arguably, I'd say you already have played an AI in an FPS... nowhere near as intelligent, but the best ones are bots in multiplayer games (as opposed to enemies in single player games, whose programming is more restricted with its goals and routines, AFAIK)

wasn't that AI attempting to avoid that sentiment?
