I was looking again at the advert in firebox and i was thinking about the 'The //\\\\\\ Cube' link to us on their site. Anyone else noticed at if you finish the pattern off, you get:

./\\\\\
//\\\\\\
\\//////
.\/////

...a cube?

(and yes, it did look more convincing in wordpad)

Maybe this was their only intention for it?

Kudos. For a reach, it's one of the better I've seen! Cool

Firebox Valentine Catalogue

Just thought I'd post this to save people some time - the valentines day firebox catalogue holds no in-game clues.

None that I could see anyway Wink

I've only had a skim through this threat, but has anyone noticed the London on the ten pound note?

dear jon_boy. i am one of the nicest people i know (seriously). and usually i don't blame newbies for not knowing everything.

but how on earth could you think we would miss the word "london" PROMINENTLY displayed in the middle of a picture? after debating months and months about every aspect of the site? please, for god's sake, do us a favor, and THINK BEFORE you post.

i have to apologize for me being so rude. so, please don't get mad at me, i now it is important to not miss a single tiny clue, but i am grwoing sick and tired of reading stuff like that. maybe the game should begin soon, before everything gets so old that we all lose interest :p

Or search. Or at least check the beginners thread to make sure you don't cover stuff we've already discussed. Welcome to the forum and all, but please try to get up to speed a bit more Wink

Don't let these remarks discourage you! It's good to have another set of eyes on this "project". Keep digging and trying different angles. If there is anything left to find, a fresh perspective may help illuminate it for the rest of us. Good luck and keep posting! Very Happy

Hey, jon here,
I was acctually getting at the fact that the LONDON was on a Ten Pound Note, and i apologise for not making this somewhat more clear, i can read and I live in england, so i thought that maybe so poor bugger living in another country might not know what our currency looks like. I have no idea what american dollars look like so why should an American know what enlish pounds look like.
So, heres my question again, with grammatical and dynamic corrections;
has anyone noticed the fact that London is written on a Ten Pound Note (£10)?

P.S, I did run searches in as many ways as i could think, but nothing threw up anything useful to combinations of words such as "ten pound note" "tenner" "£10" "$10" etc... you get the point.

as for the cube... duh? im sorry, i feel stupid if this isnt the case, but i thought that that was an angle out of a drawing of a cube was kind of obvious. i was trying to figure out why people were trying to turn it into binary.

well, as for the note. is there any reason you bring this up? other than, pound notes arent used anymore, right? dont you all use euros?

'fraid not. We still use pounds coz its a stronger currency than euros.
What I thought is that the pattern maybe a clue in itself. Why is the picture of money, not a street sign or something of the like?
Maybe I'm chasing shadows, so I'll stop annoying you find people.
