 		I'm not prone to PCness, but how about simply "Kill ball" short for Kill the person with the Ball.

It seems to me that "StQ" has undergone plenty of name changes in it's history; I for one knew it as "Tackle the man with the football."

Other suggested names: "Tackle ball" or "Melee Ball".

I like the derivative "Kill Bill".

Is anyone willing to play tonight and provide feedback? If it works out, we can add it to the repository. If it sux then we can forget this ever happened.

I expect to have my internet connection back up late tonight and should be able to join in next week.

 		Another (less offensive) game variant I thought about was tweaking zombies.

Maybe with a crazy king of the hill variant that requires something like 20 mins to win and a hill that jumps every 30 secs.

Humans win if they score the 20 mins and zombies win if they prevent it or all humans are (un)dead. Same rules of conduct apply. This would prevent some of the camping that drags the game on and on.

 		Hmm interesting variant on zombies there, griff. I'd suggest dropping the time down from 20 minutes though, to maybe 5 or 10. On some smaller levels like Zanzibar in particular, there's no way humans will last 20 minutes.

I should be on tonight to try out the kill ball variant.

I like this idea. It forces the humans to stay mobile. I would suggest a lower time limit though as I don't think the humans could survive 20 minutes in the hill.

Edit: Thunderclap read my mind and posted before I could. Stupid boss interupting my postings... I'd be more productive if I wasn't at work.

Besides in Hot Potato you don't want to have the potato, which would be the exact opposite of (Insert oppropriate alternate "StQ" name here).

Hot potato with sticky grenades?! Too bad you can't cast off a sticky onto someone else. Give it a 5 minute timer and this could be a cool game.
Maybe it could be done with honor-system rules somehow.... probably not though.

 		I think I have a Game variant like StQ that I called meleeball. I also have a king of the hill variant called meleeking too. I would definitely like to help test the meleeball variant tonight.

A lot of people (myself included) have the gametype Rainbow Six, which is very similar to True SWAT.
